Hero Core

One of the better Metroidvanias I've played, despite not being a platformer.

Dino Run

If you like Runman, this is for you. Very, very fun. Browser based though, sadly.

Trilby: The Art of Theft

http://www.escapistmagazine.com/content/games/yahtzee/artoftheft

One of the best stealth/theft games you'll ever play. It's by Ben "Yahtzee" Croshaw of Zero Punctuation and Chzo Mythos (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chzo_Mythos) fame.

I like the way it looks better in multiple posts. Just now saw yours.

Is there a reason to do it all in one? Is it bothersome separately?

In most forums, the multiple post thing is against the rules, I'm pretty sure it's the case here too.
Plus, it makes more pages when all of this could be in one post, this thread is a good example:
Here, we're at the middle of page 5, but if all of your games were in one post, we were still be on end of page 4.

A few at once all from one game designer:

Might Jill Off

http://mightyjilloff.dessgeega.com/

Jill's levels in SMB are based on this game. The author of this game is known by several monikers, the primary being Auntie Pixelante, Dessgeega, and Anna Anthropy.

Dessgeega's other games can be found in the sidebar on her blog: http://mightyjilloff.dessgeega.com/

I especially recommend Tombed, which is what a couple of SMB levels are somewhat closely based on: http://www.auntiepixelante.com/?p=423

Calamity Annie: A Love Story in the Old West has interesting storytelling and is fun for a bit: http://www.auntiepixelante.com/?p=177

If OP doesn't update the first post in a couple of days, I'll make a new thread, seeing as I sorted all the games by compatibility and the cretin hasn't even bothered to update the list with it because it involves a modicum of work on his part. That is, if no one has any objections.
Plus I'll sort and add all the new additions too

Alpha has never been free; and unless you kept a backup of it from before beta the only way to play alpha anymore is by pirating it.

I know this is way nit-picky, but Alpha was free for a weekend back around September. Notch had a problem with his servers or something and decided to make it an impromptu play for free weekend.
So, theoretically, if you don't care about playing online, and didn't want to update at all, you can still play that old version just fine, providing of course that you downloaded it during that free period and pirating it.

It's not at all a doujin, but it's a good game.

It's a shooter, but it's free and one of the games I may have played the most of all games my entire life: "Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory" Great balance in the levels and differences between classes/teams. Also the quake engine it was built on is totally awesome, since it allows you to use certain technigues to jump/move faster, so not only shooting is important, but becoming mobile is too.
