After hours upon hours of techno-wizardry, I come bearing an incredible technological feat. SUPER MEAT BOY WITH CO-OP MULTIPLAYER*. This behemoth of code is so astounding and awe-inspiring, that it's in an early alpha stage. I beseech you, Team Meat's forum, to test and revel in delight of what I have wrought.

In order for your computer to run this miracle of man and science, you merely must have www.python.org's infamous programming language, python, installed.

*By which I mean a minimalistic, Zork-esque game I programmed in 2 hours, it mostly works and features a whole readme.txt, which is about half the size of the actual game.

It's all good, the download has a Python file and a readme all bundled in a zip file.

It's basically an old-school text adventure. You play in a command window; the situation is described to you and you must give instructions to the game on how you want to proceed by typing a verb, followed by a noun. The first level essentially requires you to type "get BANDAID GIRL" to win the level :P

Unfortunately, there's only two levels and the "co-op multiplayer" is basically comprised of telling you that you are Brownie in level 1 and Meat Boy in level 2.

I still loved it  

(also, '"bandaid" girl' and 'readme.txt.txt')


Edit: Just to make things clear...

I went brazen balls and downloaded the file and its safe. The game plays as promised and there are no viruses attached. Enjoy.

I just created a gameplay video which can be found here. The video shows the entire game, start to finish, and I didn't mess up once  Meat Boy

Actually, It switches between brownie and meat boy after every command. The V1.1 SMBWCOOPM 2: COOP HARDERER will feature more commands and a few new levels. RADICALLY CHANGED GAMEPLAY, REMOVAL OF THE PESKY COOP FEATURE AND ADDITIONAL CONTENT

Additional content? In a sequel!? NO! When I open up SMBWCOOPM2, I want it to be exactly the same as the first one and play identically to it!

Additional content, jeez...

Additional content sounds great, actually, and it would be nice if the game didn't end mid-level :)

It'll also feature the main issue people had with the first one ie me being a lazy bastard and not including the time module
