I'm pretty sure they made the game relatively short so they can do a special sale with it again soon, the next time with a Portal 2 + the DLC in a pack.

You're so fat, your mass value can't be stored in a 64 bit string. Let alone a 1 TB hard drive.
 

Lava is in all caves at layer 10 and below. Personally, i make a branch mine at layer 12.

Also, Flint and Steel wears out, Buckets don't. Can't use Buckets of lava to light a nether portal unless you're really clever, and flint is easy to light a portal.

Also, is it possible to stop passive mobs from spawning in an area that has a high enough light level for them? Every time I died, I respawned in my house surrounded by sheep and cows. I don't really want to make my house darker because it's kinda dark as is but I don't know of any other way to stop passive mobs from spawning.

Stop using floor made of grass, problem solved.

Ah, thought so. Well, I've got about 70 metric boatloads of cobblestone, so I should probably use them up for my floor.

Cobblestone is ugly, use wood or planks.

Wood burns, Cobblestone doesn't. Do the math. Use a Texture pack if needed.

Personally, I don't care, and use Cobblestone.

Did you know: Wood slabs doesn't burn (might be fixed now) and 2 wood slabs exactly look like a wood block.
