Super Meat Boy / Meat Talk / Re: Your Super Meat Boy Gameplay Videos

On a sidenote, congratz to Breakdown over at SDA recently! Hey thanks! I meant to advertise that here but it got lost in the shuffle (last week and a half has been crazy for me). But yeah, all 250 main game levels and bosses in 1:21 and change with 118 deaths on the X-box version. I wanted to do better, but pretty happy with what I got. If you missed it check out the stream recording at: http://www.twitch.tv/speeddemosarchivesda/b/304742454. And crazy time on 5-13 Jintek, grats.

Very confident this is a #1. Fun level to run. Fairly confident this is a #1 (I'm positive I didn't lose this much time with my method, and I'd be very surprised if you can approach Meat Boy any sooner at the end). Fun level to figure out, doing it over and over trying to execute a good run, not so much. Both were recorded, will be in the upcoming compilation vid (which I almost have enough footage for).

Super Meat Boy / Meat Talk / Re: Looking for people around rank 250 with Steam :-)

My total time is ~2775, all done with Meat Boy/Bandage Girl, so if you're using all characters most of my times are very beatable. I'm "Breakdown" on Steam, and the only one with that spelling and capitalization that both doesn't have a profile pic and has been active in the last day.
EDIT: And just in case my posting here doesn't make it obvious, yes, you can go ahead and add me. :)

Super Meat Boy / Meat Talk / Super Meat Boy race for charity (plus lots of other games)
|
on: April 09, 2011, 10:15:52 AM

Kind of short notice, but there will be a streamed race to the Light World ending + Cotton Alley starting in roughly 2 hours (currently scheduled for 4:22 EDT). The race will be between myself and another full game speedrunner by the name of joe, we're hoping to get through inside of 35 minutes. This is a part of a much larger game marathon put on by http://speeddemosarchive.com called Japan Relief Done Quick. It'll be running all weekend and will feature some of the best players out there blazing through some great games. We're raising money for Doctors Without Borders and have a bunch of cool prizes for donors. So swing by and check it out, and maybe donate a little money to a good cause while you're at it. Full schedule of games can be seen at: http://speeddemosarchive.com/marathon/schedule/

I'm pretty sure this is a #1, or at least I'd be very surprised to learn I'm missing half a second somewhere. Definitely more satisfying than my 7-7x time as I figured this one out myself. It's recorded, will be released in a compilation vid once I get all the clips I want together (which Potato Boy has put a bit of a damper on).

Super Meat Boy / Meat Helping / Re: XBLA Cotton Alley bandage

There is an extra bandage in the Steam version actually, just in a different level. 4-19x has 2, one on the top and one on the bottom, both in the left walls. I know you don't need to get both for Golden God, and if you get both in one go it doesn't give you two. I'm not sure if you get one if you can go back and get the other or if it vanishes, but getting both in one shot makes for a good challenge.
