Super Meat Boy / Meat Talk / Re: Have you unlocked The Kid?

It took me an hour and a half for the first level, another hour and half for the second level and played the third for about a half hour. I didn't beat the third level so I left the Xbox on and told my mom and brother not to turn it off. I got home from work yesterday and my brother turned it off! I was soooo pissed. But it took me like an hour and 15 minutes total to beat all 3 levels. Level 2 is the worst in my opinion though, least favorite level in the game.

Super Meat Boy / Meat Talk / Re: What kind of extra non-game content would you like to see in the retail edition?

What about a poster with super meat boy physics? Like the trajectories of jumps after holding spacebar for a certain number of milliseconds, walking vs running, how sticking to a wall changes your physics and how long it takes to pull off, walljump trajectory vs jumping trajectory when walking and running and also not holding down a direction, etc etc. And it could have a glossary of hazards and objects.
That's a great idea, my suggestions would be stickers and the comics like said before, a Meat Boy t-shirt patch would be cool, concept art(if not added already) and behind the scenes(which I think is already added).

Super Meat Boy / Meat Talk / Super Meat Boy and Tony Hawk's Pro Skater(THPS)
|

So I've been thinking, I haven't been this obsessed with a game since the Tony Hawk games (1,2,3,4,THUG,THUG 2) and I'm starting to notice some similarities.
Both have pick-up and play controls, easy enough to learn gameplay but hard to master. The level layouts are what makes the game fun, you can create your own levels, fun hidden characters to unlock with different abilities and trying to get all the bandages is like trying to find all the gaps in THPS.
Just wondering if anyone else feels the same way about these 2 games or another set of games?

Sorry to bump this but I made a Darth Vader for SMB, it's my first attempt at pixel art so I know it sucks lol Feel free to make a better one, next I think I want to do a Storm Trooper and also something Tron inspiring.

I bought the digital version, but I'm seriously considering buying the hard copy because it has twice the songs.
I did the same thing and I'm definitely going to buy the hard copy for twice the music and also the art work. If you like game OSTs that are reminiscent of the old 8-bit and 16-bit era you'll love it.

Super Meat Boy / Meat Helping / Re: Linux meat boy

As far as I know I don't think there is I know you can play it through Wine but I realize that's not really the answer you're looking for. I am not sure what Team Meat's stance is on Linux but I think it would be pretty sweet and maybe they could have Tux as a secret character . You never know though, maybe SMB will be in the Humble Bundle in the future which as of now all those games have been cross platform.

If no one has suggested, Splosion Man and Winterbottom would have been fucking awesome.
Agreed to stay with the indie theme, also what about Darth Vader?! Pros: Light saber throw or the Force Con: Slow

If the game ever comes out for Wii why not Mario? After all he had the first SMB game Also the animals from Castle Crashers or even Tommy and Edmund? Edit: Any chance of a custom character editor? Design the characters you want and add 1 ability to them.

I'd like to thank them for putting so many characters in the game so people like who didn't know all of them can find cool indie games to play Oh definitely I've bought/checked out VVVVVV, Spelunky, Flywrench, Mighty Jill Off, Bit.Trip (I've played), played N+, and etc. because of them.

The simplicity of the game is what I like best. Point A to point B. It may take only several seconds to get to the finish, but you can spend an hour just trying to complete a single level!
Yeah I hear you the simple pick up and play mechanics and the short but fun levels make it so addicting.

Super Meat Boy / Meat Talk / Team Meat is AWESOME!
|

I would just like to say that Team Meat is awesome! Edmund and Tommy have seriously made one of my favorite games of all time! When I first heard about this game I was all over it and I couldn't wait for it to come out just like the rest of us. I started following their blog and their Twitter feeds and the way they cater to their fans is just awesome. I've watched most of their interviews and they are hilarious. I think it's very cool that they support all the other indie games out there and also how they support different charities too. I also like how they take in the fans feedback and listen to what they have to say. So thank you Team Meat for everything! Looking forward to their future work on this project and their other projects. Any of you guys feel the same way I do?
