A virtual Easter egg is an intentional hidden message, in-joke or feature in a video game.
It is in fact hidden.
Not really. I mean, there's an achievement for it. Sure, the achievement description is kinda vague but there are only so many pits in the game, you're bound to find it eventually. Something like the singing turrets, though, you might not find unless someone tells you about it.
It's still hidden, I mean, who really came back to Final Boss when he told you to in their 1st walkthrough ?
True, but really, IMO, if there's an achievement for it, it's not really an easter egg. It's a borderline easter egg, but not quite there yet.

I've no idea about the Hominid glitch jump but with the Pink Knight/Josef super jump, you just need to be really fast. Often, trying to do it wastes more time than the jump saves.

Q: Will you ever be able to save progress in SMW?
A: Probably not.
Farewell, Team Meat, it wasn't fun at all to wait for a boring level editor.
And FYI I don't plan on buying any of your games anymore.

oh, so you can't be happy that edmund and tommy worked their asses off so you could make your own levels and upload them to a level portal, you just HAVE to be able to increase your e-peen, hm?
You'd need leaderboards for that, all Maruhai wants is for the game to actually remember how long it took you to beat each level and give you an A+ accordingly. Which frankly is something that is essential for a good quality level portal.

How is something that pretty much gives you a slight pat on the back essential for a good level portal?
*facepalm* Oh, I don't know, maybe because it's so you can actually remember what the hell you have and haven't done? And there are people out there who don't consider a level completed if it's not in A+ time. *coughmecough*

OK, now that we have a fuller version of the Level Portal, I have a new opinion on it. It is goddamn awful. Seriously. There's STILL no time saving, something that is not only essential but has been pretty much confirmed to never be added. And then there's the fact that there's no way of telling what a new chapter is like without trying it, so for all you know, it could be Forest Light World or Rapture Dark, and a well-made level or something made in 5 minutes and is bad even by those standards. Really, there should be an area that is basically, Teh Internets but on the PC. What SMW was until uploading was added. Maybe I just hate it because of the content that has been made for it, like a frankly-horrible 5 level chapter that got uploaded 6 damn times or a chapter that only runs at a decent speed on high-end gaming computers. *coughminneapoliscough* And then there's the fact that to even find out whether this chapter is worth playing, I need to spend about two whole damn minutes just looking an Meat Boy's damn face, as if it were trolling me. I don't know, though, maybe I'm just ranting over nothing and it will all get better soon enough. But frankly, as far as I'm concerned, Super Meat World should be just like Teh Internets, or at least have a "Team Meat Approved" section.

The damn thing isn't even finisked. Super Meat World is in beta technically.

/guywithcommonsense

Because someone not saying something means they don't know that, right? And they said themselves that what they mean by "In beta" is "We're pretty much finished but there's probably still a few bugs to iron out" Not "This is very unfinished and will be 500% better when finished." So your point is completely null.

OK seriously, what the hell? STILL no time saving? Why isn't this simple feature added yet?! This is an essential thing for levels. I'm a programming dunce, but surely they could programme the game to remember how long it took to complete the level without to much hassle?

Huh. Weird. If it happens again, you might need to verify game cahce.
25  Super Meat Boy / Meat Helping / Re: 360 Controller for PC Super Meat Boy on: May 01, 2011, 11:40:53 AM
Trust me, you don't need to listen to the intro. Controller is no better than keyboard, other than to those who prefer using a controller over a keyboard.
You could even argue that keyboard is better as you can switch from moving left to right and vica versa farster with a keboard.
Yeah, there are a lot of small differences between the two that do make them everso slightly better. And frankly, that's the only one I can think of.

I'll never again buy a game from team meat!

You're never going to buy a game made by a certain dev again because you're using the wrong provider? LOGIC. Seriously, you should've just gotten the Steam version.

Yeah, I always play Meat Boy in windowed. I think the problem still persisted in fullscreen but I might have to check that again.

EDIT: I think fullscreen might have made it slightly better but not quite enough. It was, however, fun to play in fullscreen once again. Meat Boy
29  General Stuff / Video Games! / Re: Minecraft on: April 30, 2011, 11:55:12 AM
OK, been a while since I played Minecraft so I decided to play it again today. Cut down two trees, one large, one small and got a buncha wood. And, since I remembered.

Pic of my crop room.

I got the idea of the placement from the Minecraft Wiki, so credit goes to those guys for the layout.
30  Super Meat Boy / Suggestions / Re: Lode Runner playable? on: April 30, 2011, 01:33:39 AM
A) No new chracters will ever be added with the exception of when and if a 3DS version gets made.
B) That is a huge downside.
