Lowering the resolution and using -ultralowdetail had no effect on this.

Then I tried windowed mode: a HUGE difference.

Disappearing blocks disappear faster and the bandage girl is easier to control.

Did anyone else notice that Bandage girl is, in a way..faster than meat boy...even lighter...really weird to control  Or is it my imagionation?

Also, does anyone know why there isn't an achievement for Cotton Alley light world?

This achievement is called Girl Boy. If you count all the achievements on steam you will see that there is 40 of them, but there says it's 41. Girl Boy is that hidden one 

Only ~3.5k and over 50% complete (Yes I know that's not really 50% if you take into account increasing difficulty)

The weird thing is everyone always talks about how insane cotton alley is, but I did most of the light world levels in 5-20 trys.. and I Don't use a controller. 

You'll see dark world!

I did not know the game kept track of Warp Zone times until I read this thread, so I just wiped a WHOOOOOLE lot of seconds off of my overall time.  Thanks, ChiLiM!

Just remember the score you have now, and after you restart the game check if it is the same...Poppet and I have a glitch with that 

I never saw some of the characters you used...and the game seems too easy with them 

Currently I'm trying Missile Boy. I figured out which levels are a problem to me, and with what character is a level easiest to get. In my opinion 6th level is not hard but I get very often killed so yeah...let's start with 6. Same thing with the 4th, 12th and 20th level. After beating these 4 levels you can start from level 1 passing the rest of the levels using these characters:

The Kid (1, 3, 6, 7, 9, 12, 13, 14, 16)
Meat Boy (2, 4, 18, 19, 20)
Captain Viridian (5, 15, 17)
Runman (8, 10)
Flywrench (11)

Why Kid, SMB and Viridian in those levels..you'll figure it out once you see the levels.

Why Runman...the fastest character in the game. You just need a little practice and the 8th and 10th level will become very easy. He is also useful for getting better times in some levels

And in the 11th level I used Flywrench because it's very easy to jump from the wall over the saws back to Bandage girl. You can try this one with the Kid, but I think it's easier with Flywrench

Good luck to anyone out there who is trying to get this achievement...I know I'll need it

If you have so many deaths...are you like...number one on the global leaderboard and have all the achievements? 

Character Warps also count towards your total time.

I have the same glitch...when I start the game again it's like I never passed some warp zones in shorter amount of time

Thanks! It helped me very much...great tips with captain viridian...those levels aren't to hard with meat boy but then again...there was no pressure when I played them 

I'm willing to help others too. So if someone is interested in getting some of these achievements let me know and I'll give my best hints and tips
