Aside from all of that, I have tried using Game Maker before but it's a piece of crap and I never got anything done with it (though I need to give it props for being the program that Mighty Jill Off was created with).
I'm sorry man, but if you can't get anything done in Game Maker, it's a PEBKAC error. I'm reluctant to switch to pure coding because it's so effective (though I know I'll have to at some point.) There've been some FANTASTIC GM games, not just Mighty Jill Off, but Super Crate Box as well. It's completely intuitive, and fairly flexible for a drag and drop program. Not trying to bully, I just couldn't let the program that allowed me to make games at all get trashed like that. Call me a fanboy, if you must.

Love the use of Wario Ware music in the trailer, let alone that song. Best boss stage in any game ever . Also the concept looks pretty neat, good luck with that! Thanks! Haha, yeah, I wanted to use a song called Exquisite Dead Guy by my favorite band (They Might Be Giants), which really fit, but of course, YouTube's damn copyright restrictions wouldn't hear a word if it. Still, I like how it turned out. Later in the thread I linked to, you can see some of the new art by Scattle. I am having loads of unfinished games around here. One of the few that I finished is my entry for the last Ludum Dare, where you have to make a game in 48h. That'S why it's simple, the graphicsa nd music are not very good, but hey, it's finshed. http://greencouchgames.net/ludumdare/019_discovery/My Ludum Dare entry is called Ping. Check it out!

What about Minecraft? i was going to try Mincraft but i watched some Videos from Youtube but didnt like it..!! its like FPS somthing like that right? guys .. if there's any great Games like Puzz/Adv/2D just put the Title here Dude, you don't play a game by watching videos of it. And you don't judge a game by its graphics either. Minecraft is popular for a reason, and you should at least try creative mode before you dismiss it. Also, just because the default mode is First-Person doesn't mean it's a first-person-shooter. It's not. You can't build a calculator in a first person shooter. Or a cannon, for that matter. Come to think of it, you can't build much besides basic levels in most first person shooters. Give it a shot.

It's popular because it's popular. However, there is still foundation for the popularity. I can't think of another simple game this cheap for computers which allows for such an infinite level of creativity. Everyone plays the game differently, and none play it wrong.
I play it by building my house, then mining and exploring. I build multiple buildings and connect them all by minecart system, and just dick around. I don't dedicate endless hours to it, but it's something to do. My housemate on the other hand, she built a house complete with bed, kitchen, etc, and treats the game as more of a Sims thing than anything. She goes out mining during the day, and at night comes home, cooks food regardless of if she needs the health, then goes to "sleep".
It's a game that basically says, "Define your own fun."
^ This..... THIS!!!!!!! It's beautifully simple, and popularity is not the same as false hype. I definitely enjoy my time with it, and I'd say it's already better than most AAA titles, even in its Beta state.

It's actually my dream to win the IGF someday. I've made a few crappy games, but I'm also working on some better ones. This one: http://forums.tigsource.com/index.php?topic=11086.0 is where the first part of my signature comes from. I'm working with Scattle (he did some art for Super Meat Boy) to make it look better. I'm also currently helping Andy Schatz with level design for Monaco.

I think it looks awesome, especially considering how restrictive MS paint is. And I'm guessing you didn't have a tablet to draw with? Anyway, awesome job. And of course that's without his tux, have you guys seen the ending?

Yeah, I think racing would be cool, if only to pit against or against . But that is a fair point about moving back so far if someone died, and the key platform problem. Maybe if it was a mandatory best 2/3 type of thing, with splitscreen. Y'know, the fast-paced feel that SMB is known for. Also:
And you should be banned.
I second this sentiment.

I plan on getting one once I get 100% on the XBLA version.
Should get it of the Golden God picture if you're waiting for 100%. I second this sentiment. Either that or the super muscular Meat Boy in the intro right before he explodes into the main menu.
