16  General Stuff / Forum Games / DWARF FORTRESS: GET A SUBHUMAN NAMED AFTER YOU AND HE DIES AT THE END on: February 25, 2011, 09:54:08 AM
Dwarf fortress is an RTS, presented in a manner like nethack. It's known for having a really really really steep learning curve and being fairly addictive. What I propose is we have a rousing playthrough of it. The starting crew (And migrants, should the starting crew die off/overwhelming demand) will be named after users of the forum. I'll post updates of this fort as the fort progresses. The current dwarfs that have yet to be claimed are:

A biter (I've decided to make our first military guy attack by gnawing)
A miner Zarkith got this
Another miner CHILBLAIN GOT DIS
A carpenter
A woodcutter Maruhai got a woodcutta
A fisherman/hunter
An accountant

We haven't embarked yet so GET IN ON THESE SAVINGS ASAP

Just yesterday, I fired up Team fortress 2 to give it one last chance. Within moments I was held at gunpoint by Valve's Robin Walker. Forced to read aloud all of the trade requests I found and respond AND buy all of their store weapons (Gameplay? More like RICH PEOPLEPLAY) I had no choice but to grin and bear with it. During my bihourly 30 second break, I looked up and saw his face, clouded from all of the advertisements for other shit games. It wasn't a face at all, but rather a large cash sign. He looked down on me, novelty-sized checks falling from his massive, money-induced girth. I cried out "WHY ARE YOU SUCH A SELLOUT WHORE I DO NOT WANT NEW CONTENT" to which he responded by slapping me with the back of his hand, knocking me out.

I awoke later with my neckbeard shaved and wearing nothing but a barrel in front of a soup kitchen. The barrel was filled with welfare checks.

Overall, this game really hasn't aged well. 6/10

I like it because of the chalk candies. I need to go get some, now

I, to be as honest as possible, quit tf2 and set fire to my hard drive the moment it paired up with such a horrifying, furry game as Sam and Max. I'm really, really unhappy that Valve stooped to such sexual deprivation. I checked it out in December, to give it another chance. I took one look at the heavy's new means of masturbation (Bear claws) and began slapping the monitor with my 12 inch cock until it burst into flame.

Game Of The Year? More like game of the YIFF.

If he wanted to make a good point he shouldn't have drawn her arms.  When she throws her hands up at the end of the level it might look like bunny ears or something...maybe?
I don't really care about what point he's trying to make because this rabbit is adorable.

I like driving in the cars in Halo. Rocket race is a fun gamemode for that.

It's still peaceful for the most part, yes. But that seems to be mainly because you all agree. Do you find Stevolutionarys posts in this thread polite or open?
As implied in my previous post, I found them a bit odd because of the way he saw things, namely the whole bit about how his opponent's opinion didn't matter because he thinks they'll look like douchebags in the history books.

Way to be on the cutting edge son!

"Aren't I just the most hip and trendy person you know with my acceptance of others? Yeah, those homophobic LOSERS are totally last year"

I've recently finished a basic, not-too-bugtested game based from the dungeons and dragons ruleset. I'll upload it when filesmelt is not dead anymore.

It'll also feature the main issue people had with the first one ie me being a lazy bastard and not including the time module

To be honest, I find it funny that the thread on a forum (founded by a sexually-ambiguous duo who know someone who's lesbian and likes ropes and stuff) features a thread (Made by a homosexual) about homosexuality where people tell off imaginary conservatives for opposing them.

But in all seriousness gays are pretty cool.
