Hmm, it's been a while. Maybe I should delete my save and start over, just to bring back the magic of when the game was new to me, even if only a little bit.

Ugh, why don't talented artists appreciate my request of them drawing me things? Why?

You know what makes me mad? I've never gotten the wafer. The most potentially useful item in Sheol and I never got it. Ugh.

Because that's a lot of work. Shame since I had so many ideas for that game...
Anyways, what can you draw?

At least the chapter is in the recommended section where the ratings don't show and it still gets recognition. Still, I noticed one level had 5 sawblades, but had 1 1/2 stars. If someone hated a level, how would they have the patience to beat it?

I just realized that a lot of these levels have really low ratings. How could an Edmund McMillen approved chapter suffer this fate? Either I'm in denial, it's a troll, or there's some sort of glitch. Either way, everyone here needs to play through every level and rate it a 5 for the good of Enter the Unknown and the average quality of their levels.

GameRoom, I'm still offering to make you sprites for ItLotPwtGH by the way. Just let us know what you need.
What can you do? Maybe not for In the Land of the People with the Giant Hats, but what about sprites for In the Land of the People with the Giant Cats?

I'm thinking of making a game where you're a crazy cat lady that beats up stray cats (or breaks into people's homes and steals theirs) and puts them in her giant sack she carries around. You can level her up and get stronger cats, and eventually lions and stuff. It's also a pet simulator where you feed the cats, and if they die you can sell them to suspicious people or feed them to your other cats. The possibilities are endless interaction-wise. I might need a spriter and a musician. Thoughts?

I feel the need to fulfill someone's requests and make their dreams come true and make them a game. Give me ideas. Remember, Super Bulldozer Adventure was a fan request. This is my Christmas/Happy Holidays gift to you.

You know how in Dante's Inferno there's 7 layers of hell? That could be how it is.

Okay, there's a tiny update. Also, this project might be on hold until I know it will do decently well publicly.

It certainly didn't help that the controls were far too sensitive and the hit detection was annoyingly imprecise.
Okay, I changed the hitboxes on some things. Hopefully it doesn't lag more.

Also, please never combine cannons and moving platforms in future level designs. The way the timing works as well as positions not reseting on death makes getting past them a matter of luck.
I just checked it out, and it seems that this gimmick keeps you on your toes and stops you from relying on muscle memory. But still, I'll try to save that stuff for later levels with major hinting for strategy and stuff. I'll lower the fire rate in those areas to make it more fair.

Yes. And this game needs sawblades.

They look cool, but the levels I played seemed too easy.

Hello, there. You may have been enticed to this topic with the promise of hats. And yes, this game has hats. Not nearly as much hattage as the full game will have; in fact, there's hardly any; but there are hats. This game is an adventure platformer about a purple thing on a quest to find the biggest hat in the world and save the world as well, because you can't find the biggest hat in the world if there's no world for it to be in.

Screenshots:

This is a public beta, and I want the best experience out of the full game. For that to happen, I want some constructive feedback. I even made a simple survey that you should fill out after you finish the demo. FYI, the demo is over once you've found your first hat.

How much lag did you experience?
Once you finished, what was your death count? What was the hardest part? Did you ragequit at any point?
What was your overall time when you finished?
Did you find any bugs?
Was there any part of the game you didn't find fun? Why?
What are your general thoughts on the game?

Also, I'll need to recruit some people for some things that the game is lacking. See here. And feel free to post suggestions on boss patterns and stuff. Here's my general idea of what I want the game to be:

Every time you kill a boss, you get his hat, which gives you their powers. For example, in the second chapter after the demo ends, you'll be able to shoot to kill enemies and solve puzzles. At the very end of the game, at around chapter 8 or 10, you'll have a giant boss rush with harder versions of all the previous bosses plus about half a dozen forms with subforms of the final boss and his minions. As you can tell in the demo, the bosses have a lot of subforms. Hopefully my eyes aren't bigger than my stomach and I don't burn out on ideas and motivation to make epic bosses.

Also, there's a special cameo in there if you can find it.
