Super Meat Boy / Meat Talk / Re: 40 levels completed with Tofu boy. [video]

Unless Tommy adds the ability to do that. It's not that hard to program.
You're making it sound way easier than it actually is. When the entire foundation of a game is already in place, some things are more difficult to uproot than others. Achievements aren't as easy to track/create as you think they are, remember the achievement "Congratulations, you have OCD"?

Super Meat Boy / Meat Talk / Re: super meat world should be out soon

When it came out, I was hoping to use SMB and it's editor to hold me over until Portal 2.
While I played and enjoyed SMB so much, it got me hyped for the editor, which was supposed to hold me over until Portal 2, but instead got delayed itself, making me WAIT for the update that was supposed to help me WAIT for Portal 2.
...
AND I F**KING HATE WAITING!
...
Why must all my favorate companies (Valve, Mojang, Team Meat) all delay their games so much.
Ask yourself this: would you rather have a high-quality update that is well-polished or a rushed update that is riddled with bugs and fatal errors? I know what it's like to delay an update, it's almost always because the developer feels that it is unready or still has flaws. Hell, I've been delaying something since May of last year and it still hasn't been released yet because there are still things to iron out.

Super Meat Boy / Meat Talk / Re: 4-bit levels. good or bad?

Oh no!!!! Yeah I'm not hating on the 4-bit, I think the style looks great, I just feel that the levels feel a little clunky. Does anybody else think that?
Then you're playing on stages that aren't as well or creatively-designed if they feel clunky. The tileset is irrelevant to how the gameplay is affected aside from the limitation of obstacles.

It's a matter of personal preference.
If you like it, you like it. If you don't, you don't.
Controls are not altered in the slightest, so what you're experiencing is your own problem.

For future reference, megathreads are usually a bad idea as discussions can stem off in different directions on different aspects (unless they are closely interlinked).
Trust me, I've been watching over a Feature Requests board on another forum for almost 2 years. I've seen it happen time and time again.

Super Meat Boy / Meat Helping / Re: Is the Glitch levels obligatory for Golden God?
|
on: March 12, 2011, 10:00:20 AM

The word is "mandatory" and yes.
Actually you're wrong both times. Obligatory is fine in that context (should use 'are', not 'is' though) and unless it's been patched since, Golden God unlocks usually with about 6 levels to spare. I also know people who claim to have Meat Ninja just from getting 307 (now 310) and as glitch levels do not count to that total, that'd imply a no there too. Huh, my version didn't give me golden god until I cleared the glitch stages, must have been a glitch on my end.
