Looking forward to your compilation takuji

I've wanted to do a Runman specific compilation ever since I started getting ridiculous records with him on ridiculous levels. Not exactly WR's but levels you'd never think fast with him. Entertaining stuff. Maybe one day, like when I can afford a new laptop.

I might try and re-do my 2-15x or was it 2-16x , one of them is incredibly tricky to speed run properly. I think I settled with 15 something and 73L got 14 something. I never did see if I could do better though... Now is as good a time as any.

Edit: It is 2-15x "Insurance"

takuji 11 something
73l 13 something
me: 13 something

you suck takuji

no way runman can get 11 on this one, maybe 12 if i was perfect

Go ahead and try to get 6.2-6.3 but I honestly doubt naija is even capable of 6.50 on this level, I'd love to be proved wrong though, if anyone can achieve this it is you

This is part of the reason I never completely re-did a lot of my hell times, there are too many places where you can glitch through a fucking wall. Hell is easily the most glitchy world.

On the subject of annoying speed runs 5-13 takes the cake no matter what character you use

ladies and gentlemen I present you:

thank you, thank you. Please, no pictures.  I'll be here all week.

Who is the legit #1 for this map? I may have dethroned another meat boy level. If I only have to be .3 , I did 6.83 my first try completely winging it.

EDIT: This is some bullshit, both 4-12's fucking glitched on me, in one day. I previously had 0 glitched records, and now I have two.

I was working on the new 4-12x WR , when I went to go get the key on the right runman ran right through the fucking block, agh. I miss trials hd. T_T

Isn't there a way to reset your time by modding the game save? anyone know?

Awesome job takuji, as soon as I finish darksiders I am coming back for that record

also you never beat my 5-15 WR (4.90) I will be surprised if anyone ever does

Legitimate complaints. Some color schemes could have been better, especially for thank you. I honestly rushed that level, I wanted it to be easy, I really did. It ended up the hardest in the chapter for some reason.

Most of the problems with the chapter stem from not having any outside testing going on, so what basically happened was I made the levels and I played the death out of them leading me to believe everything felt completely natural.

On the topic of diamond quarter, there is a trick to doing that level consistently, I can do it in 3-4 tries every time.

You have to jump so meat boy lands a little below the point that is sticking out, I don't know how else to explain it but its like landing on an invisible block. That's not on purpose, it is actually part of the triangle blocks jumping physics. I originally wanted it to be off the 1 pixel point but it just wasn't gonna happen. I had this levels idea in my head for a week and a half and I was extremely iffy about wanting to create it or not because I knew it would raise flags.

On the bit of saw edges sticking out in squeeze, I did notice that but it was after I uploaded the chapter.

I tried the route and wow, hats off to you guys for keeping at that, I never made the final block, other times id completely miss it and sometimes I would miss it by a freaking hair.

anyways

reclaimed 5-1 world record

this level is very close to being pushed to its max, my replay has a few runmans ahead of the one I beat it with so its likely 10.50-60 is possible (not with meat boy or the kid for that matter)

how the hell did you manage 7.8 on 5-13 with meat boy

I tried fooling around with that particular level and only managed 9

also a question, do you use 4bit? he spawns faster than all of the other meat boys, it changes level obstacles slightly since you can get going sooner.

Just curious since I did use viridian for that level

Also one run , not optimized but it seems I have stolen another level(when I shave another .10) from Naijas cold fishy grasp. 8.50-70 should be possible.

I want in on some of this action , I liked what I  so far.
25  Super Meat Boy / Meat Talk / Re: Ranking on the global leaderboard on: January 09, 2012, 05:59:21 AM
Got a feeling you'd be right up there in the top 3, I've seen your times and some of your videos.

The 5.50 was just one go at trying that route. I know it can be optimized but I have trouble consistently doing the last jump as well because it is pretty tricky.

I set a bunch of new personals inside forest without trying and shaved like .40 off my grand total which is kind of funny. I don't think I will ever properly speed run cotton ally(my worst world speed-wise hands down) like I did with the original 5.

I remember back in the day almost everyone on here was raging over skyscraper, good times. Like previous posters have said the 2nd is only retarded because you have to do it twice in a row, and the 1st level forces you to learn outward to inward jumping to get past the last part. (falling sawblades)

I was just fooling around in rapture and I managed to shave 2 seconds off that level, beating 73L's score by .40 , Runman is supreme for this one.

That officially brings me under 2300 seconds and my global ranking is like 400 or 500 something lol, I should be ranked 3rd or 4th technically from what I know.

28  Super Meat Boy / Meat Talk / Re: Teh Internets levels added! on: January 06, 2012, 11:38:18 PM
I'm surprised that team meat didn't make an official announcement. Hell, they didn't even leave us a tweet.

TM honestly loathe Super meat boy nowadays. I applaud them for sticking with teh internetz and uploading new chapters though.
29  Super Meat Boy / Meat Talk / Re: Captain Viridian - Impossible Levels? on: January 06, 2012, 11:25:52 PM
had a feeling it was do-able I just didn't want to keep trying. Good job though.
30  Super Meat Boy / Meat Talk / Re: Captain Viridian - Impossible Levels? on: January 06, 2012, 09:24:08 PM
List looks pretty solid, I had my go at all of them and some are closer than others. Most are downright possible to cross right off the list but I have an nagging feeling that

3-20
3-20x
5-7x

could be possible with enough practice, I come extremely close to clearing that salt pile at the start in the 3-20s

and I didn't come as close as I thought I would in 5-7x catching the 2nd key, do you stay upside down and jump over or flip down and jump over?
