General Stuff / Video Games! / Re: Games That Must Hit Steam!

Yeah, and besides, who buys a console for only one game? If there's a game I want that's only on a console I don't have and there's no other games I want for that console, I don't bother. That's just common sense.
ICO trilogy is the only reason I bought a PS3. What, you are too good for GOW3? I feel sorry for anyone who bought a PS3 for GOW3...major letdown and dumb game all-around imo. Here's the thing, I play hack n' slashers for the combat system, depth, fun, and mastery and GOW is crap compared to the best. Gaiden Black, DMC3, and Bayonetta easily destroy GOW is all those areas, it's like watching a paraplegic fight a Pride era Fedor. And I've beaten GOW3 on Chaos so I'm pretty well versed on it, all it was good for in my opinion was pretty graphics...but it doesn't compare to the apex predator of the genre which is Bayonetta. Just my opinion anyway for what it's worth, and Bayonetta another game I'd like to see on Steam. I bought my PS3 for LittleBigPlanet. I was not disappointed. Speaking of which, LittleBigPlanet and its sequel would be awesome on Steam. Another thing I'd love to see on Steam would be the Monkey Ball series.

Super Meat Boy / Meat Helping / Re: A serious question to developers about gamepad/keyboard difference
|
on: April 10, 2011, 08:47:09 AM

The idea is: if there's a gamepad and there's an analog stick, why isn't there a way to smoothly control meat boy's moving speed with the help the analog stick? Why doesn't his moving speed differ at all no matter how hardly/how far you're moving the stick? Why isn't there a way to smoothly control meat boy's moving speed with the keyboard? There should be no advantage to using the controller. The only reason that you constantly hear it's better is because game veterans are more used to using the controller as opposed to a keyboard for most platformers.

Super Meat Boy / Suggestions / Re: what would make SMB even more awesome

Should Super Meat Boy ever have Multiplayer implemented, I think it should go something like this:
From the main menu there would be a Multiplayer option. Selecting this option will match you with another player with as close a skill set as possible. You vote on a number of levels to play, 10, 20, or 30. Then, once you choose how many levels, each player gets to pick half of the levels according to their taste. Gameplay is very similar to the regular game, as in as soon as you die you respawn. The first person to touch bandage girl "Wins" that level and it changes to the next one, and whoever gets more wins by the end is declared the victor. Should it end up in a tie, the game will pull another level out at random and the winner of that is declared the victor.

Super Meat Boy / Suggestions / Re: Dr.Fetus as a character?

IMO having a Dr. Fetus character is a pretty cool idea. Make his speed roughly at Naija's speed. When you hit shift he will fire a missile which acts exactly like a homing missile except for the homing part. It can break through missile walls, dissolve collapsing blocks, and kill the zombie meat boys.
