I unlocked him, and my hardrive got destroyed and I lost my files so I had to do it again. The second time I unlocked him it took about 15-30 minutes, the first time it took about an hour. I've gotten really good now!

I have every character but the n+ ninja, except you forced him and steve into the same vote entry so I have little choice in that case
Well I was just thinking that people probably only had the game on one console. Sorry.

Super Meat Boy / Tech Support / Re: Wondering why you can't save your devmode levels, or why SMB won't start up?

I think this topic would be better off in the level editor forums, but otherwise it's about time that we saw a guide created to tackle the little things that most new players might not know how to do. The whole "saving levels in devmode" issue is a question I've seen pop up frequently on the forums and I'm surprised that it's only being addressed in a tutorial now.
Actually, this was in meat talk at first but then a moderator moved it here. And thanks, there was just some confusing stuff that had troubled me earlier, so I thought I'd post a tutorial on how to fix this stuff.

I faced these problems recently as well, and I thought I mine as well post a tutorial for the sake of those who don't know how to solve these problems. Also I'm going to tell you how to change your controls and port your Super Meat Boy file to a new computer. I would've mentioned that in the title, but there wasn't room.
HOW TO GET TO YOUR MEAT BOY FILE: Ok, I'll start by telling you how to get to your Super Meat Boy file, which you will have to do to do all of these things. First, open your files. Then, go to "Computer". Once you've done that, open OS (C:). Open your programs (on some computers it may be called program files, or program files x86). Then click Steam. Once you've opened Steam, open "Steamapps". Once you've opened that, open the file entitled "Common". Inside that file, you should see a list of your Steam games. Open Super Meat Boy. Once you've got that opened, you'll see all your main Super Meat Boy files!
HOW TO SAVE DEVMODE LEVELS: Ok, now let's find out how to save devmode levels! Just click "Make New File" and entitle it "Levels". Now your devmode levels will be saved into that file automatically! Easy! (You'll have to have other people download this file if you want them to play these levels.)
HOW TO CHANGE YOUR CONTROLS: Now, to change your controls, open "buttonmap" and it will show you all your controls in quotes. Click the controls you want to change and type in the new controls, then save. Now you can play without your pinkie finger killing you on the shift (You can not change it to hook up the controls to two or more different keys. The names of the right shift key and right ctrl key and right alt key are shiftr, ctrlr, and altr)!
HOW TO MAKE MEAT BOY START AGAIN: Now, finally, I'll explain why Meat Boy doesn't start up sometimes. When you go into your Meat Boy folders, the Meat Boy shortcut you put on your desktop (assuming you put it on your desktop) often gets messed up for some odd reason. Fortunatley, this is easy to fix. Just directly right click the Meat Boy game launcher you see in your Super Meat Boy file, and click "Create Shortcut". Delete the old shortcut and place the new one. NOW it should work!
HOW TO PORT MEAT BOY TO A NEW COMPUTER: Put a USB port in your computer. Once you've done that, open your port and drag your mouse over the Meat Boy files you want to copy, and then drag them into your port. After that, remove the port and put it in the computer you want your Meat Boy file on. Once you've finished that, open the port and drag your file where you want it. Now you should be able to play Meat Boy with your file on a different computer!
Ok then, hope this helps some people who don't know how to do that stuff!
