The first level of The Guy Warpzone: At the last jump my controllers battery died, so the game paused in the middle of the jump 7-20 4 Letter Word: The first part isn't so hard, but then you reach those tiny unforgiving jumps at the end..... and then you die just before the end and have to do all the easy stuff over again. Just to die again at the end.....

A few times I've been asked how to get a fast time at a specific level. I tried to explain, but it's kinda hard to explain most of the times. So maybe it'd be helpful if someone could just join you, so you could show it to him live, instead of having to make a video of it.....

Super Meat Boy / Meat Talk / Expert Remix I-20 "Puberty" overrated(?)
|
on: March 16, 2011, 11:10:19 AM

So like a week ago I tried Puberty for the first time. Before I started I feared the level because of stuff said on the internets, but I completed it in 15-20 minutes. I thought I must've been lucky so I tried it 2 days later. this time I finished the level within 10 minutes.... "This can't be...." is what I thought. So 2 days after that, I tried it for the 3rd time, result: 4 tries, of which I died 1 at the first free-fall... Puberty is highly overrated if you ask me.....

I've waited all this time to (pre-)order the Super Meat Boy Ultra Edition and now Amazon.com tells me " Super Meat Boy Ultra Edition cannot be shipped to the selected address." Could anyone (a Dutch person perhaps) tell/help me how to get this?

Super Meat Boy / Meat Talk / Re: PC vs xbox360

First of all I wanna make clear I haven't played the pc version myself, although I have seen a good amount of gameplay with it's characters......
PC vs 360 Headcrab + Goo ball vs Gish - 10 bandages No difference between gameplay even Josef vs Alien Homonid - 20 bandages Josef just got a lame float/double jump move. Other character have this ability, but then in a better way. Alien Hominid is awesome for speedrunning some levels. 360 wins Naija vs Tim - 50 bandages Tim is quite useful for some bandages, but Naija is awesome for some speedrunning. Since I'm a bit of a speedrunner, I'd say Naija wins. PC wins Runman vs Spelunky - 70 bandages From what I've seen Runman is harder to control, but usable on more levels, so..... even Captain V vs Pink Knight - 90 bandages Pink Knight is useless, so.... PC wins Mr. Minecraft vs N+ ninja - 100 bandages Steve breaks the game in such a way I think any character would win against him, so.... 360 wins
I think it's quite even for me, but if i had to choose between 360 characters or pc characters I'd go for 360.

After playing patience, everybody should take the demon maws.
No way, after trying to A+ 4 Letter Word, everybody should take the little saws with only 1 block of space above them. They're not really hard, but the margin of error must almost be 0,00. And since there are like 10 at the end of 7-20.....

It's a shooter, but it's free and one of the games I may have played the most of all games my entire life: "Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory" Great balance in the levels and differences between classes/teams. Also the quake engine it was built on is totally awesome, since it allows you to use certain technigues to jump/move faster, so not only shooting is important, but becoming mobile is too.

I really really enjoyed I Wanna Be The Guy. The last boss took like as long as the rest of the game, but the satisfaction was higher than 106% and A+ing Super Meat Boy. I liked it so much I downloaded I Wanna Be The Fangame too. Great leveldesign too.
Flail and Jumper, both from the same maker were also quite good.
And for as far as you can call Cave Story/Doukutsu a hardcore platformer, I've been enjoying that one lately too. The Sacred Grounds really take some practice, before you can finish those.

Super Meat Boy / Meat Talk / Re: What's your highest leaderboard position on a level?

I play on xBox 360 and I'm not sure what my best time is, must be in top 10 and otherwise I got pushed back a bit so top 20 at least. But I don't really care about the leaderboards though. There's too much glitching used, so the rank will never be accurate unless you're 1st. I DO like to improve my times and overall time though, just to see if my skills are keeping up. Got a legit score of 3020 seconds now

Meat Ninja is just balanced out good the way he is now. When you unlock a character, it takes some time to master it's technique. It's the same with this fella. And to get 100% takes skill, so you should have enough skill to master his abilities.
