I heard Tommy say in an interview the reason why the people did it was to point out that there is a vulnerability that people could use to access the database. So they were basically warning him about people like themselves.

Whenever this happens to me it is because I have lost my internet connection. Just exit and restart SMB when you are connected to the internet.

I MUST beat Butcher Boy and Expert Remix on my PC damnit!
I don't really think Butcher Boy will be on PC.

Butcher Boy is already on PC you can access it in devmode by loading the level i1-x where x is any number from 1 to 20. And replace the i with g for Sewers of Dross.

I think there should be character specific leaderboards as well as a leaderboard with all the characters.

Steve doesn't break the game he plays the way he was meant to, and it still requires skill to beat the levels with Steve some of the levels are even harder with him.

How is the ability to avoid death cheesy? And how does that make Meat Ninja not worthy of highscores? What is wrong with never playing as Meat Boy again?
11  Super Meat Boy / Meat Talk / Should Steve and Meat Ninja disable the leaderboards? on: March 24, 2011, 05:50:29 AM
I don't think that Steve and Meat Ninja should disable the leaderboards, because I don't think they are any different than the other additional characters that aren't locked out of the leaderboards.

They are creative, yes, but the very basis is horrid. You shouldn't be rewarded for being bad.
I'm falling... still: Stay airborne for 30 secs (Jill, as I don't think it's possible with any other character)
Stuck to you: Stick to a wall for 30 secs (gooball/headcrab)
A=: get the same as the A+ time for a level (to the millisecond)
Personal Same: Get the same time as your best time for a level (to the millisecond)
Staying true: Complete X no. of levels without jumping as captain Viridian.
Deja-vu: Play the same level 10 times in a row without dieing
Saw 30: Die on the same saw 30 times
Short: Die within 1 second of spawning (not sure what levels this would be possible, but I'm sure at least 1...)

Only the last two reward you for being bad, and Staying True could potentially be interesting.

You're lazy, so I edited the track names right into the poll.

You lazy lazy person.
Excellent observation, but at least I'm not a Psychopath.

15  Super Meat Boy / Level Editing / Re: Levels for Guest Characters inspired by he games they came from on: February 17, 2011, 04:01:56 AM
I liked to make flywrench inspired levels but it isn't very easy because of the way he controls in SMB.
