Can't say I'm too excited about it. I heard the controller has a stupid gimmick to it, probably a touchscreen. I have no good experiences with touchscreens and will probably always whine about them in games being unresponsive. Because they are. Buttons before styluses, live it. If you believe otherwise, then I suggest you pick up a DS and a copy of Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow. That game will make you hate touchscreens like no other.
Dude, this isn't a thread to discuss Project Cafe, but to discuss the possibility of Super Meat Boy on Nintendo's next console.

So the Internet has been abuzz with rumors and discussion regarding Nintendo's new upcoming console, codenamed Project Cafe. It's supposed to be more powerful than the 360 and yadda yadda yadda blah blah blah...
Why I bring it up is because I still feel butthurt that I can't enjoy beat my Meat on my Wii. This is of no fault of Team Meat, but of Nintendo's incompetence for a good online operation. It is indeed a shame.
But since Project Cafe is supposed to be one hell of a console (in comparison to the Wii anyways), I can't help but feel hope once more for the possibility to enjoy mah meat on a console that I will no doubt get.
Nintendo hast beheld the power of the meat! Resistance is futile! There's no frakking way they'd set up such stupid limitations again! I do believe that Team Meat will have a window of opportunity this time to bring the Meat to a Nintendo console...but will they? That, detective, is the right question.

Well, now I can live with no FEAR of terrorist thanks to the supperority of the AMERICAN POWER, COUNTRY OF FREEDOM!
Oh wait, im not american, so I dont give a shit. Well, ok, I care, but just for the jokes.
You should give a shit. The man was responsible for a hell of a lot more than plowing planes into buildings. And anyways, that's not what this thread is about.

Game Booster is a program that will speed up windows using computers by selecting services/processes you don't need and letting you turn them all off/on with one switch: http://game-booster.en.softonic.com/Also, if you're using windows 7/windows vista turn off the fancy transparent aero theme stuff I was really hoping that this would be the answer to my prayers. Nope. Super Meat Boy is still laggy and buggy for me. :( I have these problems and they're definitely NOT caused by lag, they seem to be caused by crossfire cards.
My system specs are as follows. i5 750@ 4.0ghz, 2xHD5850's, 4gb of ram, vertex SSD Way way over spec for what SMB needs. I've tried the lower resolutions, they don't make any difference.
I have v-sync enabled in the catalyst control panel, FRAPS displays a steady 60fps, but unless I disable the crossfire cards, I have all of these problems. With crossfire disabled, the game runs perfectly, but Its quite annoying having to disable a graphics card every time I want to play.
It'd be great if you guys could have a look into SMB performance with crossfire (and SLI for that matter) as I'm sure there are some problems caused by multiple gpu's.
How do you go about disabling this crossfire card thingies?

So, we all know about the great victory over terrorism which has been accomplished by the elimination of Osama Bin Laden. (Yes, we know that the threat is still out there and could be bigger than ever, so please don't bring that up)
But this is cause for celebration! And many are celebrating.
What if Team Meat did something special too? How about a Meat Boy that's recolored to resemble Old Glory?
Just an idea.

I JUST UNLOCKED THE KID THIS MORNING!
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
It was so hard man! I spent hours and hours and hours (from 8 PM to 7 AM) trying to beat those three levels! There were MANY instances in which I just wanted to give up.
But I persevered.
Sorry if this thread seems kind of spammy. It's just that this is a major gaming accomplishment for me. And I know a lot of you think getting The Kid is easy. But whatever.

To be honest I didn't play the Newgrounds version till after getting SMB. I think the controls for it are fine, but SMB is much better Oh please let it be true!

Do what I'm doing:
Use television as monitor, use xbox360 controller in USB 2.0 port.
I suddenly have the pleasure of a console game with all of the perks of the PC version (characters, tofu boy, iron boy achievements, super meat world). Feel jealous.
I already own SMB for PC, so I do get the editor. Use television as monitor, use xbox360 controller in USB 2.0 port.
I suddenly have the pleasure of a console game with all of the perks of the PC version (characters, tofu boy, iron boy achievements, super meat world). Feel jealous. It's not that simple. 1. Our computer is not a gaming machine. The graphic card sucks. 2. The PC is upstairs away from anything comfortable. 3. It's more of a pain to set all that shit up. 4. For me, Super Meat Boy for 360 is way more convenient. EDIT: Don't know why I wound up with two different posts. My bad.

Super Meat Boy / Meat Talk / So...

I just got a 360 today. And this morning, I was able to play Super Meat Boy the way it was supposed to be played.
On a console. In front of a large TV. In the comfort of the living room. In a large recliner. With great quality.
I tried out the demo for SMB...and was in pure bliss! It sure beat having my face a foot away from the computer screen and the controls were a hell of a lot more responsive then when I was playing it for PC. And the quality was what it was meant to be, not having to be toned down as far as possible for my modern computer to try and run it. I could almost feel Meat Boy jumping off the walls!
I guess what I'm trying to say is that I'm a console gamer, not a PC gamer. And Super Meat Boy for the 360 is one of the most amazing games I have ever played. Having beat SMB on the PC, going through the demo was a breeze. Hopefully, I've saved up enough bottles and cans (five cents per bottle and can here in Oregon) to get this soon for XBLA. Because I'm sick of wrestling around with it on PC for minimal performance.
Awesome job, Team Meat! I love you guys more than ever for the 360 version! ^_^
