and basically any other characters you can come up with

While this is true, it's a great start to get into coding. I started with D'n'D, moved on to the simple GML and from there I learned Java, PHP, C++ and AS3.

Right now, I prefer AS3 as you can make games which are cross-OS-compatible, and if it doesn't work on, let's say Mac, it's because Adobe fucked up, not because you are using a OS-specific function.

i dislike AS3, i have a more extensive knowledge of AS2 and PHP, as i am a developer from trackmill.com which resolves around modifying existing games etc.

I decided to give this a go and I quickly made up 6 backgrounds using different in-game screenshots I took. Hopefully something here can be put to some kind of good use 

i'll definately use one of the dr fetus ones, Character based ones would be nice though :)

any game that is made with game maker shouldn't even be classified as a game, They are all terrible.

Real men use c++ and not shitty game making utilities like you have. Visual Studio - maybe you should learn to use it one day. I
I personally dont have a very advanced knowledge of C++, but most languages follow the same syntax and are pretty easy to pickup. I do know how to efficiently program php and java though.

I am the owner of the site www.xboxgamercard.net which basically produces images which contain information relating to your gamertag on Xbox Live (recently played games,gamerscore etc)

I was recently approached by someone who was wanting me to make a gamercard based around super meat boy.

I was thinking of adding ones of bandage girl, dr fetus etc, but due to my poor skills in gfx i cant  

If you would like, you can make some base images that can be used (375 x 125 dimensions) and i will see what i can come up with
