Good idea. I like the thought of adding a missile, it would give the picture a more dramatic feeling. I'll see what I can do. Thanks for the great suggestion.
I was on google looking for some SMB art to brighten up my workbench but I just kept getting the same handful of pictures. I decided to give Meat Boy a new pose and I drew this: http://tinyurl.com/3tqqyfz I hope you like it!
Very well done. Did you build on top of a skeleton or is it just the sculpey? Overall, your sculpture looks very clean. I am a little very jealous of your sculpting skill.
I was working with limited resources with my wallpaper. I was trying to take my own screen shots on steam so I could butcher those, however; I only wind up with blank images. I ended up having to use google for my images. Is there a recommended program to get around this?
As for the empty blocks, I agree that they don't look good at all. I originally wanted to but environmental elements in their place, it just didn't work out that way in the end.
I look forward to making a good background in the future, until then I'm happy to take the creative criticism to use in future pieces.
I play both PC and XBLA. I love the unlockable characters in the Xbox version (Gish, Alien Hominid, etc.) but I'm excited for the level editor on the PC. I have never loved a game so much to buy it on multiple platforms before SMB. I have also never loved a game that frustrated me to the point of actually wanting to punch a package of ground beef. If there was a gameboy adaptation I would be over joyed and possibly unemployed.
I had a pretty cool Pac-Man wallpaper for a while so I used it as a template and tried to make a SMB one. It's pretty half-assed but I'm hoping to use the level editor to make some better wall paper levels in the future. I hope you like it anyway.
