Now I realise...
Why nobody said "The Orange Box"?
Go for this first. Seriously, I forget about it, but it's one of the best... "games" you can find on a 360.
>Orange Box >360 Uhhh no. If you haven't played Portal, it's totally worth it. Same goes for HL2, but not as much as Portal. But TF2 sucks on 360. Not just because it's never been updated (and that's apparently M$ fault) but because there's never anyone playing it besides 12 year olds

Because I feel people should have two sides to every story, that's all. The post isn't for him, but for others to then balance both arguments rather than allow something stupid to remain unanswered. If they then still think i'm a dick - then fine.
I use exaggurated language, as how MegaMew points out, subtlety and subtext are easy to miss in text (especially given the intelligence of the average forum poster...) and also the best way to fight fire is with fire - giving a polite response to a hostile post gives the impression you're submitting to their view, which is not the cae at all. I viewed it with derision, so I edited my language had to reflect that.
But that's why I edit my posts, because unlike Carnivore who managed to misunderstand both mine and Mew's posts and jump in with two feet, I make the effort to re-read and gain that subtext, which is why I originally criticised you, then deleted it, because I realised you issue with my posts was not the argument, but the thought I was trolling. I went back and out more criticism in my posts on Carnivore because I re-read his post and realised he was just a massively insecure idiot.
I can understand wanting to balance the argument. I can understand your feeling that responding politely to a hostile post can seem submissive and less effective. But to respond in such a manner only makes things worse: because the post is so hostile it's hard to read and consider the content without getting caught up in negativity of it. IMO, the best way to fight fire is not with fire but with water. Making him more angry doesn't get anywhere, doesn't aid the debate and generally makes things worse. I mean, I agree with what you said for the most part, it's just how you said it that irks me. I can't see it being productive to anything other than inciting another similar post from him for you to flame. edit: also, "cae"?

He's actually accusing me of being a troll, not Carnivore. But I agree with your assessment. I don't believe either myself or Carnivore is trolling at all, but ironically I think Shaman is trolling as he's contributing nothing to the debate other than to try to discredit a poster's argument without any backup at all. Disagree with me all you like, but give a reason or shut up. EDIT - ( ) The reason I edit my posts a lot is because I change my mind, which I reserve the right to. I wasn't adding more inflammatory points in order to get a reaction, what is there now is my actual view. I posted a pretty diplomatic one at first, but then thought "screw it" and put back in what I really thought, seeing as Carnivore was hardly the model of politeness. I wasn't trolling, I was re-considering, then erasing, earlier attempts at diplomacy. Trolling equates to going for a reaction. As I put earlier, I consider the majority of his posts pretty backwards so don't care much about his response and probably won't bother reading it, and certainly won't reply to it. What made me reply to this one was the self pitying crap about how he's victimized and we're all bullying him, yet then accusing us of being oversensitive. I'm sorry, but i'll always be a sucker for condemning massive hypocrisy. Eh, I'm just not weighing in an opinion on this argument because I don't fully get what there would be to contribute. He misunderstood your post and for whatever reason, flew off the handle about it. A simple "lulz you read it wrong noob" would have sufficed. And if you're not trying to add more fuel to the fire and incite a reaction, then why do you feel the need to include so much exaggeration for effect?

Fucking hell it reeks of troll in here
Just leave it Carnivore, he's not worth the time or effort it takes to even read his post (if he ever stops editing it)
Carnivore apologized. Trolls never apologize as it is a sign of weakness. ergo.... Carnivore is not a troll. Having strong and/or controversial opinions =/= trolling Nah, it was Stevo I was referring to. And I was mainly referring to the fact that he'd been editing his post for like half an hour, with each addition adding more and more inflammatory items.

Really? I NEVER crack eggs on a flat surface and i've never gotten a single eggshell in my food.
It's not a very widely done thing, just something I got told one day when I was complaining about getting bits of shell in with the egg. More of a fix for people that have that problem.

- Be able to cook a perfect poached egg. I'm a catering professional, but for whatever reason, I consider poached eggs to be my arch-nemesis. I can probably cook a perfect one by most people's standards now, but to me, I've yet to produce the perfect poached egg, with consistency. It's got to be runny in the middle, and beautifully shaped (without cheating).
I do some cooking myself. Poached eggs have made me ragequit a few times in the past. I never learned how to even crack eggs. I tried once back in 2nd grade and it ended in tears. I haven't tried since, sense I've been too afraid that I'll just fail again Protip: crack the egg on a flat surface then gently pull the egg apart. Cracking an egg on an edge increases the chance that little bits of shell can get pushed into the egg, and end up in your food.

General Stuff / General Discussion / Re: The worst feeling ever

It fucked with my mind pretty bad. The worst part was that since it took place in my bed I didn't know if I was dreaming or not Oh god my nightmares were like that too. Allways start off in my bed. Also every single nightmare I have ever had has been related to the Sasquatch...The first time it ever happened, it started off with me in my bed. I saw a hand next to me that was huge and hairy. For some reason I thought it was my Dad's hand, but then I turned around and BOOM! Huge Big Foot on my bed staring at me with it's giant red eyes. I got out of my bed, but I can't scream and my door is locked. Then it just ends there. I have had that nightmare about 7 times and I fucking hate it. That's weird, I frequently have dreams after I snooze my alarm where I wake up, and start the day so it feels like I have woken up and I'm getting ready. It always starts in my bed too, but turns nightmarish once I leave the bed, like the water in the shower turns into lava or my delicious breakfast bacon is poisoned or even comes back to life and tries to kill me. Shit like that messes with me so much and makes me oversleep, not cool bro.

Of course, girls are crazy about it so if you're one of the lucky guys who has a girl, you have to empty your wallet by buying cheap heart shaped candies so they don't dump you. Or a large bouquet of flowers and chocolate! My wallet hurts... I'd just make them a card... You would get dumped for that. Not if your significant other wasn't a total bitch/dick, you wouldn't. I don't think I could ever date a girl who was that mentally unstable. Besides, whats to say the card wasn't really sweet and well thought out, and it doesn't come with a free back massage or something like that? Yea, srsly, any women who can't at least appreciate a homemade gift has serious issues to begin with. This is of course assuming that your homemade gift looks slightly better than the work of a preschool child.

Just some made up holiday so they can sell more stuff to stupid people... I don't really like it, but girls are crazy about it of course... ugh.
Actually Valentines Day is not a made up holiday excuse for companies to make more money, not like Grandparent's or Boss' Day celebrations. Saint Valentines Day, to give it it's full name, has a long history, albeit not always with a romantic twinge to it, this has only come about in the past 200 year or so.

If a Wii version ever came out, I would love to see Quote or Lemeza be included as secret characters For the 545414864141864184111401511014105386416311341th time, Quote will never be playable. Oh hey is that a Wii friend code?
