16  Super Meat Boy / Meat Talk / Re: Best and worst level name on: March 13, 2011, 01:49:10 AM
I like "No Quarter" because it means no mercy.

I dislike White Noise in the Cotton Alley, (7-1X) because that was the the name of 3-20.

actually, one of them is called white__noise (with two spaces) and the other is white_noise (with one space) look closely
17  Super Meat Boy / Level Showcase / Re: [4/10] Expert Remix Chapter Mk. 2 on: March 11, 2011, 08:49:51 PM
downloading/playing single levels is cumbersome, so my recommendation to you is to make 10 levels and release all at once ;D
18  Super Meat Boy / Meat Helping / Re: Do the glitch levels have scrambled messages? on: March 11, 2011, 02:25:43 AM
I'm pretty sure they just swapped the tileset the level used before with some gibberish rearrangements
19  Super Meat Boy / Meat Helping / Re: Destructoid bandage impossible? on: March 11, 2011, 02:25:04 AM
Well, if I said where the secret passage was it wouldn't be a secret.
20  Super Meat Boy / Fan Stuff / Re: Screencaps for wallpapers on: March 10, 2011, 10:20:21 PM
Well if I TOLD him it wouldn't be a SECRET passage anymore, would it?
21  Super Meat Boy / Tech Support / Re: [BUG] In Devmode , mouse goes weird. on: March 10, 2011, 08:29:56 PM
I think I know the problem (the screen is shrunk vertically and the game's mouse pointer is closer to the middle than the real mouse pointer) and I'd like the solution in english if there is one
22  Super Meat Boy / Meat Helping / Re: Destructoid bandage impossible? on: March 10, 2011, 08:27:43 PM
step 1) get to the far side of the map
step 2) wait for lasers to turn off (it takes a while)
step 3) enter secret passage /!\
23  Super Meat Boy / Meat Talk / Re: Which piano remix should I include in SMB Stepmania Pack? on: March 10, 2011, 06:08:11 PM
I ended up doing meat golem piano, if any's interested - took like 2-3 hours.

Pack's done and released here: http://supermeatboy.com/forum/index.php/topic,1149.0.html
Looking at you, leetfruitboy ;)
24  Super Meat Boy / Meat Talk / Re: No-death achievements! Let's help each other to get them! on: March 10, 2011, 02:35:07 PM
Question: Say you start at the hardest level in the run, and die a few times without returning to the map each time before managing to complete it, and then you move on to the other levels and complete them flawlessly without dying. Do you still earn the achievement? Or do you have to return to the map every time you die in order for it to register that first level?
You do not have to return to the map when you die.

SUPER MEAT BOY!! FULL-KEYBOARD STEPMANIA PACK: FINALLY STOPPED PROCRASTINATING ON IT

DOWNLOAD HERE: http://www.mediafire.com/?j9srl2z2ntydri5

All 25+ songs from the game Super Meat Boy charted for stepmania, plus one extra:
Meat Golem piano, arranged by Shad0w0nTheSun/Brent Kennedy!
4 or more charts per song - beginner 1s can be played immediately, beginner 2s with minimal practice and beginner 3s soon after that! Newbies to stepmania won't feel left out!

This pack is a keyboard pack with full difficulties charted, from 1 to 15+ nps.
-You are expected to play in a spread configuration using both index and middle fingers, with a key configuration such as qwop, efko or asdf. You can change this in tepmania under options then under key config.
-All charts are stepped by Patashu, all graphic work was done by leonid.
-Difficulty numbers are created not by DDR footers but by taking the average notes per second of the file and adjusting it up/down for easy/hard patterns/other reasons. For reference, max 300 would be a 7 in this system.
-A big thank you to leonid for saving me a lot of work as well as all my playtesters: leonid, Christian O, Benvolio, Lamperi, Detrimentalist, MyopicM2C1, Kynosaur (and anyone else I missed) as well as everyone who watched me livestream the stepping process: MyopicM2C1, Rebound, leonid, bmah, Tasselfoot, JasonKey, DrugstoreCowboy (and anyone else I missed)
-And we can't forget Danny Baranowsky/dB soundworks for making the awesome soundtrack so this could exist at all ;D

If you don't have stepmania, I recommend sm-ssc. Download here: http://code.google.com/p/sm-ssc/

There's one important thing you'll want to do in sm-ssc: add speedmods. 1x is painfully slow, and for charts that get this hard you'll want to raise it until it's going as fast as you can read and react to it - with practice, you'll figure out how fast you can make it, but in general the faster it is the easier it is to play.

Depending on your OS navigate to the following folder and make SpeedMods.txt:
Windows (XP): %appdata%\sm-ssc\Save\SpeedMods.txt
Mac OS X: /Users/<username>/Library/Preferences/StepMania SSC/SpeedMods.txt
Linux: /home/<username>/.sm-ssc/Save/SpeedMods.txt

Fill it with:

0.5x,1x,1.5x,2x,2.5x,3x,3.5x,4x,4.5x,5x,5.5x,6x,6.5x,7x,7.5x,8x,8.5x,9x,9.5x,10x,C100,C125,C150,C175,C200,C225,C250,C275,C300,C325,C350,C375,C400,C425,C450,C475,C500,C525,C550,C575,C600,C625,C650,C675,C700,C725,C750,C775,C800,C825,C850,C875,C900,C925,C950,C975,C1000

C-mods are a constant scroll rate, x-mods multiply the bpm of the song and so change speed when the song does.

If you don't want to use or can't figure out sm-ssc, you can use stepmania 3.9 or 4.0 instead: http://www.stepmania.com/wiki/Downloads
Then follow this topic to insert speedmods: http://www.bemanistyle.com/forum/f93/modifiying-stepmania-your-liking-add-songs-add-speedmods-230/

Also, before you inevitably ask - if you use vista or windows 7, install Stepmania under Program Files and later try to make a new file or edit one, it won't save your changes because of permission issues. To fix this problem don't install Stepmania to Program Files or run it as administrator.

That level's bandage girl obstacle's time mod property is probably increased, resulting in a faster animation. They probably just left it like that when they were messing around with devmode in the earlier stages of the game's development.
I love stuff like this and the button in the building in ripcord
It's like pulling back the curtain and finding that the game was designed by a human with human tools Meat Boy
