I've been playing this for a while now, and I must say I'm impressed. It's a very smooth and somehow relaxing experience, considering the often ballz-to-the-walls difficulty it presents in the later levels.

Well, I installed this game again and tried to play for some time, but I just can't get over clunky controls. Which is unfortunate, because I thought that this game would actually be decent :/

EDIT: well, maybe not clunky, but definetely not as responsive as controls in Super Meat Boy, which for me is perfect platformer

What about Skyscraper? Or Kid 2? :P

It's finally happened. I have more hours logged played Isaac than I have for SMB. And with Wrath of the Lamb on its way, that gap is only going to widen.

Me: SMB - 173h, Isaac - 161h. But wait for the expansion. Easily +100 hours of fun :P

The only gripe I have with it is certain overpowered items like Brimstone. I really hope that gets weakened, costs more hearts, or becomes more rare. Right now, it obsoletes its more balanced (and rare) version, Technology.

They made it weaker already (it scales with our damage). But it's still overpowered as hell. It's just one wide, strong piercing shot shooting through the rocks. Mom's Knife is even more horrible, cause it kills most bosses in 2 or 3 hits

Also, is it just me, or is Eve worse than the Blue Baby? She's very frustrating to play as. 1 starting power is such a massive handicap in this game, with the rarity of power-boosting items. Also, her starting items aren't very good if you ask me.

I sense, that they boosted Eve's damage a little in Krampus update. Because before christmas Eve was unplayable, literally, zero offensive power. But now she feels kinda like slightly weaker Isaac. I don't care anyway, because I don't like playing as her :P I always take Cain now, because of his luck foot. I'm just having fun now (I made 100%... second time :D)

So, what challenges have you guys been doing?

None. I would try some challenges if I was able to record them and put them at youtube. I just don't like to suffer when noone's gonna share that feeling with me afterwards, you know what I'm sayin? :P Nah, but seriously, I wanted to try full-game-no-damage run, but who would believe that I've made it without any 'evidence' :P

I'll be buying this very soon.  Is there native controller support?

As far as I know you can play it using whatever you want. And I recommend using pad, because playing at the keyboard feels a bit ackward. Challenge for me - just 100% the game, I'm not into speedrunning that much, but I imagine how much fun speedrunners will have :P The game is awesome, period

EDIT: oh, btw, there were 2 patches already, cause game was unplayable for many people. Now it seems like it works fine for most players

Ok bought it, but there's one tiny problem - I can't play it :D due to constant crashes after like minute of playing :P It just kicks me to desktop 

Kay well I LOVE Dark Rapture! I'll say that much upfront.. I don't really like Dark Cotton alley though.. I know Dark Rapture is harder but I think I'll get Zombie boy first seeing as I love the chapter so It'll be easier FOR ME!

That's the most important thing in getting these achievements - if you like the chapter or not. I've got Impossible Boy twice, because I love Cotton alley, but getting Zombie Boy... oh man, what a pain in the ass :P Long, tedious, random levels in dark Rapture almost made me puke :P I got the achievement, but I can't push myself to make it second time (with video recording on)

Tim trick seems to be pretty cheap, but I can understand people using it

EDIT: and I'd argue if Dark Rapture is harder than Dark Cotton Alley. In Rapture you can turn at least half of levels into a joke using right characters (5-1x and 5-2x - Naija, 5-10x, 5-11x - Kid, etc)

And I'm trying to record that Zombie Boy shit. And it's really REALLY hard to not fuck up anything, when you don't have that 'achievement berserk' mode on :x

Exo and myself had the 2 best records : 22,39 and 22,54, which are just blown out by a magician !

But... 24.94 is worse than 22.39 :x :P Btw, no video - no proof ;)

Also I just fought the Fallen and Krampus in a row. -_-"

I hate that, first the fallen wastes all my health, then krampus kills me in 2 hits, AND IT WAS ONLY THE BASEMENT PART 1!!!!

Cool story. But you can't encounter Fallen and Krampus (in devil's room) at the first floor... :P
