I added you, I've got some pretty decent times.

I actually mainly use the D-pad on the 360 controller (although now I've moved onto the MLG controller).  Even though it sucks compared to god-like D-pads like the Saturn Model 2, for SMB it's fine due to simple left/right inputs.  Diagonals switches are really where the 360 D-pad falls apart.
3  Super Meat Boy / Suggestions / Re: Linux Version to Buy on: November 28, 2012, 06:31:33 PM
There's literally nowhere to buy it, as far as I know.  I did buy the HIB (both of them) that had the Linux version.  So I'd be happy to upload it for you if you want it?
4  Super Meat Boy / Help! / Re: Now how do you post levels that are playable? on: November 12, 2012, 04:59:39 AM
You could upload them right here, like we used to, and I'll play them. :)
5  General Stuff / Video Games! / Re: Dark Souls on: November 12, 2012, 04:52:24 AM
I love From Software, I recently bought the DLC for the PS3 version of Dark Souls (I beat Demon's Souls over 4 times, and Dark Souls once) and can't access it until I kill the Four Kings on NG+. It's damn hard, but I love that they make you work to access it.

You can access it directly after you place the Lordvessel, the key is in Duke's. ;)

Anyway, I'm doing a full base SL playthrough where I record myself beating bosses with a ruleset (no healing, no elemental weapons, only one piece of armor but mostly naked).  Channel is here, if interested: https://www.youtube.com/user/bethannpoptart?feature=mhee  Going all the way through the DLC and final boss!

^Me, Takuji, and MHGenesis still play on and off, not sure about anyone else.  But overall the competitive community has died down, it's less about strats now and more about refining/perfecting times, which can get tedious sometimes.

Set your Vsnyc to 60fps/60hertz in your AMD or Nvidia control panel.
8  Super Meat Boy / Tech Support / Re: How to run SMB at 120 Hz refresh rate in fullscreen? on: June 17, 2012, 06:35:19 PM
Well, that sucks. The developers are basically spitting in the faces of everyone who owns a 120 Hz capable monitor.

Not really, the game runs perfectly at 60fps.  No really a big deal to set the hertz to 60, worse tragedies have happened.  I run a 120hz monitor and it's fine.

I'll be watching as soon as possible, been wanting to see it for a while now.

Awesome new news guys, it's coming to Steam via popular demand!!!

Just backup your savegame.dat file where you want, it'll contain your current progress.  And then just start a new game and it'll create a new fresh save.

13  General Stuff / General Discussion / Re: Copyright infringement "Forever alone" on: May 10, 2012, 07:12:01 AM
Hope you realise this is slander and you realise I am a very old 4chan poster and SA goon you seem pretty passive aggressive considering I sent a legal PDF with copyright over the image and I drew it in 2005 as stand alone image, sorry but you're wrong very wrong.
The 24 sites I have taken down for infringement and the 6 I made pay royalties beg to differ.

Your e-peen must be huge then, you must've had a foreskin the size of circus tent! Meat Boy

Beat Takuji's 7.73 here!  Got the replay too.  This score depends entirely on the wall slide at the bottom of the pulse.

Credit to Takuji's strat here, I matched the WR time.

This is just to brag, I guess.  But I'm proud of it, not an easy run, I'm coming for Pirate's score next!

Big thanks to 73L for the strat!  This actually isn't as difficult as it looks but still takes a while to pull off.  Pixel perfect jump is boss.

Edit:  Even more progress!

Half of this is just a luck headache, other half is patience.  Skill is really the very last jump which has to be perfect.  Still could be improved with a slide on the middle belt or fall straight down the final hole perfectly.  But that required luck and skill I do not possess.

Near perfect run without wall slides I think.  With slides it's beatable.

Finally got my fucking ending wall slide, and somehow I ended up beating Exo.  Still didn't match my 6.29 360 score though, and I've also got a new idea that could make this 6.24 or lower, but it's 100% luck based.  Anyway, feels good to put this level behind me.
15  Super Meat Boy / Meat Talk / Re: anyone still playing? on: May 06, 2012, 01:14:47 PM
yes im still playing and probably will still be playing this game on my death bed

Me too!

Just went over 500 hours in my SMB career (just counting 1 Steam acc, but I've also logged hundreds into the 360 version too).  So yeah, you could say I'm still playing, mostly optimizing my times in the main game on PC, and starting to focus on Teh Internets on 360.

Hundreds on the Xbox? Was it your first time on it or PC, because I finished the Xbox version in 2 months after doing it on the computer. (Don't mean to brag.)

It's gotta be over 200 hours on 360, that's the version I initially started on and play almost every other day.  Weird thing was where I got good was on PC, I'm over 120,000 deaths now on PC, and about 80,000~ on 360 or so.  Another aspect is that I'm OCD about matching my times on 360 and PC, so that adds a few hours.  Though I do wish there was a way to consolidate all my best Meat Boy times for 360/PC into one save.

And once I really start speedrunning Teh Internets, it'll go up even further.

Still, I so badly wish we could have a kind soul create a invite-only "Leaderboard mod" to allow for no cheated times and character-based LB's.  That would probably add like another 300 hours of replay value for a lot of us.
