1  Super Meat Boy / Tech Support / Re: "Fatal Error" when trying to run the game. on: December 20, 2011, 08:39:05 PM
This is bullshit, I can't even play, I've installed it with Steam, then the non-steam Humble Bundle one, and even pirated it, so it must be a problem with the registry, If I could just find the registry file and erase every trace of Super Meat Boy it would work fine.

I don't think it's a registry error. I used CCleaner to clean my registry after uninstalling the game, didn't work after I reinstalled it. You can always try it yourself though. http://www.piriform.com/ccleaner

bump

I'm going to keep bumping this to the front page until it's fixed. I really want to play this game but have no other means of solving this problem or of knowing that a hotfix is being made.

I double click the game and all it says is "Fatal Error" and that the log was sent to development, it doesn't even show me the log or give me any sort of indication on as to what the problem would be.

I've tried running it in windowed mode, different resolutions, low detail, re-installing directx along with other prerequisites, verifying the game cache, re-installing the game, etc. Nothing works. Anyone have any suggestions?

I'm running Windows 7 32 bit, 4GB of RAM, Quad Core running at 2.5, EVGA 460 GTX.
