1  Super Meat Boy / Meat Helping / Re: Super Meat Boy for PC Wall jump not working on: May 04, 2013, 08:28:36 PM
Is your computer laggy? Sometimes lag makes wall-jumping fail. Does this mean you can't beat level 1-5?

I'm a brony, I guess. I've seen all the episodes and like most of them anyway. I think my favorite pony is Rainbow Dash.

Can't wait until season 4!
3  Super Meat Boy / Meat Talk / Re: What's with the hatred of keyboards? on: March 15, 2013, 04:44:23 PM
I'm an only keyboard gamer, but I find those to be funny (like the "spoiler gamepad wins" one).  I think they're intended to be jokes, I'm pretty sure Edmund has said that he put that screen in because the game was originally for the controller.
4  Super Meat Boy / Meat Helping / Re: Stage -1 |> -_- |> anyone else found it? on: January 11, 2013, 06:10:45 PM
You can find it on any level (except bosses and warp zones), it's when you get a glitched bandage girl that sometimes appears. There is a different one for every chapter but chapter 7.

It's the first glitch level. There is one for each chapter, except for chapter 7. It's really hard when you first start out, but it will get easier as you get better. I'm surprised you can't find anything about it.

It's looking great, especially the art, but I would say you should speed it up, it goes by really slow.

When I go to those links, it says "You are not authorized to download this attachment." and won't let me view the pictures...

You can set it to windowed in Steam, Tommy posted the instructions in this blog post.

Yeah the repetitive jumping is way harder for me than anything the game makes you do in other levels; I always fall behind and almost never successfully make it to the second floor. People say that the last jumps on 7-19X are hard, but they are super easy in comparison, you just jump straight, where in 7-2X you have to swing back with each jump.

Speedrunning the other Cotton Alley levels, the only other ones that give me trouble just beating them are 7-7X, and 7-20/7-20X. With 7-7X it's really hard to get a decent boost on the second two fans, and 7-20/7-20X I just always die on those horrible tiny saws at the end/beginning. I actually find 7-20X to be easier because I can practice the tiny saws more, and they are the only hard part.

I got it a while ago, when I finally unlocked the Kid, I got three achievements, "Complete all retro warp zones" "Unlock the Kid" and "Golden God". I haven't actually completed everything yet though, one level (7-2X) to go. Man, that level, what the hell. It is so much above all the other levels in difficulty. I can beat all the other levels with not much trouble at my current skill level, but 7-2X is just beyond me.

A beautiful discovery.
12  Super Meat Boy / Meat Talk / Re: Can you remember the SMB level names? Try these smashing quizzes! on: November 04, 2012, 02:05:56 PM
These are great, I like the memory test.

I've found that the level names I absolutely cannot remember (couldn't in the separate worlds OR the all levels quiz) are:

2-16 "Synj"
4-16 "Bow"
and
7-11X "Thumb"

Also I just couldn't remember 6-3 "Echoes" in the End quiz, and it was the only level me and the only other person who did the quiz couldn't get.

I don't think you allowed enough time in the all levels quiz, it should be at least 30 minutes, because I was only able to get around 180 and that was with almost constantly typing names.

I'm on this

Redja should be banned for having an avatar that is too small and I can't even tell what it is.
14  Super Meat Boy / Meat Talk / Re: Have you unlocked The Kid? on: October 15, 2012, 09:53:57 PM
I must be the the odd man out, because I found the 3rd level to be by far the hardest. I was at 306/310 levels beaten for so long, and knowing that 3 of those levels were the Kid's warp zone, I decided to finally take the time to do it. It wasn't actually that hard, the first level took me 6 minutes, the 2nd 10 minutes, and the 3rd took me 30 minutes because it was soooo haaard

I don't know why everyone says it's easier; the first two aren't even very hard levels, the first one is about learning the Kid's controls and the second is just rhythm, but the third one... so hard.
15  Super Meat Boy / Tech Support / Re: Report your Mac version bugs and crashes here on: October 09, 2012, 05:54:55 PM
I think this was already mentioned but I can't tell if he's talking about the same thing.

This happens on multiple levels. If there is a moving platform, that takes you underneath a wall, with a small gap, it just kills you straight away.
e.g. 4-20 Hell, I can't even get passed the first thing to start the level. Sometimes it works, sometimes I just die. Any help would be greatly appreciated

I've had this problem, it's due to lag. You can try turning the settings down on Steam (you can read how to do this on the SMB website) or playing as a different character, it doesn't happen as much as with Meat Boy, I would use Josef or Ogmo.
