16  Super Meat Boy / Meat Talk / Re: Thank you, Team meat! on: October 08, 2012, 06:52:32 PM
SMB is on Xbox LIve and PC, and no, Team Meat has said they are done with SMB and are now working on other games.

I'm pretty sure someone asked Edmund on his formspring account if Dr. Fetus would ever have his own game and he said "one day..." but he might or might not have been joking.
17  Super Meat Boy / Meat Talk / Re: Super Meat World has been hacked... on: October 07, 2012, 02:28:57 PM
2 things you can do in order to fix SMW

1. Sue the hacker and restore SMW

2. Just fix the damn thing!

Tommy said he never wanted to look at SMB code again, but if the day came that he did, he would re-open Super Meat World for uploading. All we can do is hope that day comes.

You have 8 rows of faces... what is this mystery 8th chapter you have?  Also the CH6 light world is super easy, if you've gotten Missile Boy I'm sure you can get Dead Boy.

I guess I'll post mine:

Meat Boy Got it, not very hard
  Got it, was hard
  Will try for this one
  MIght try, but looks hard
Probably will not try for this one
  Hell no.

I'm mostly taking a break from these and focusing on speedrunning instead, but I might try Brimstone Boy sometime.
19  Super Meat Boy / Tech Support / Warp zone times resetting on: October 04, 2012, 07:30:12 PM
I just recently found out that warp zone times add up into the total leaderboard time, so I started speedrunning them and cut around 200 seconds off my total time, but then when I opened up the game to continue today, after I beat my first one the times reset and I lost my 200 second improvement. This only happens with warp zones.

Does anyone know what causes this? Is there a fix? I'm afraid to speedrun more warps because I might just lose all my progress again.
20  Super Meat Boy / Meat Talk / Re: Ranking on the global leaderboard on: September 29, 2012, 11:38:47 AM
I just got the non-hacked world record on XOXO:

I actually didn't find this all too hard, in fact I think this level is one of the easiest Cotton Alley dark world levels; I have no idea why it's the least beaten level.

Here's my ranking on the global leaderboards, for the thread:

Slowly making my way through the 310 levels beaten people with bad times!  Meat Boy

Is anyone actually still playing? Jintek? Takuji? Who's still here?  I'm only just now getting into this game and everyone's gone
21  Super Meat Boy / Meat Talk / Re: What are your top 5 Super Meat Worlds full chapters? on: September 23, 2012, 03:37:51 PM
I know this is a big bump, but I wanted to post my list.

1. Unholy Mountain - (Very Easy-Hard) I love this chapter! It's very fun to play even with some later levels (especially 18 & 20) being pretty hard. Beautiful graphics too.
2. Cramps - (Easy) A great chapter full of fun and interesting ideas. I especially like how none of the levels are too long, unlike some other chapters (I'm looking at you, Remnants! :P).
3. The Collection - (Easy) Another random mix style chapter, full of some cool and fun levels, again none too long.
4. Paradise Lost - (Easy-Medium) Some cool ideas in this one too, though it suffers a little from overuse of rotating saws. I like how the character is Brownie, not really for any reason.
5. Expert Remix - (Very Hard-Insane) It's a great take on harder versions of the original levels, and damn are they hard.

Honorable mentions would have to be Cotton Skys and Remnants; Cotton Skys (Should be skies :/) is fun despite being extremely hard and has some cool ideas, but some levels just have stupid difficulty, especially (forgot the number) "Timing", which is just the stupidest level difficulty-wise I have ever played. Remnants has beautiful imagery and a nice The End feel, but most of its levels are way too long, which makes them really frustrating.
22  Super Meat Boy / Help! / Re: How to start a chase in the middle of a level? on: September 09, 2012, 04:26:40 PM
I'm pretty certain that's not possible with the level editor, but alternatively to delay it moving you could put a waypoint at the same place as the lava starts and put in however many seconds it takes for the player to get there; then have it go along the course.
23  Super Meat Boy / Meat Talk / Re: I am pissed off... on: August 06, 2012, 12:00:33 AM
Finally, someone who had the same experience as me! I was completely oblivious to sprinting until I learned somehow later on in chapter 2 or 3 (can't remember, it was a while ago), so I found 1-3 impossible and had to beat it with Commander Video. Man do I feel stupid when I introduce the game to my friends and they learn the sprinting mechanic immediately...
24  Super Meat Boy / Level Showcase / Re: My chapters (Salt Factory xx, The True End) on: August 01, 2012, 03:12:19 PM
Oh holy crap that level is way too long. It's like 10 easy levels packed into one really hard one.

A note, level 17 "Salt tower" is completely different from the level "The salt tower" which I found on SMW and thought it was the level from SFXX (I have to search them individually after 11 because it broke), I can't find your "Salt tower" on SMW, what's going on here?

P.S. Overall I really like SFXX, you are a good level designer :) The bonus level "Other side" is really cool too.
25  Super Meat Boy / Level Showcase / Re: My chapters (Salt Factory xx, The True End) on: July 27, 2012, 11:33:30 PM
Okay this is a pretty big bump, but I am really curious, what was level 11 of Salt Factory XX and why did it completely break?
26  Super Meat Boy / Meat Talk / Re: Warp Zone Loading Screen on: July 22, 2012, 11:26:41 PM
Being one who also has a slow computer, I have always hated the un-skippable warp zone loading screen. The hospital ones are the laggiest for some reason; back when I just started out, 1977 was a big challenge and I was really annoyed constantly having to wait through "WAAAAARRP ZOOOONE!" followed by 5 seconds of silence and Meat Boy slowly getting sucked into the portal every time I lost.
27  Super Meat Boy / Meat Talk / Re: Most Annoying Level to Speedrun on: June 30, 2012, 07:31:42 PM

You just run towards it and u land on it? lol... I though also felt like it was horrible to speed run when I was a baddie but felt easy when I got alot better. Maybe I should try get the WR.

edit: 4.73, 0,1 sec off WR but the starting jump is really the most frustrating thing ever T_T.

It only works if you have more than 1 block running space though, which is really annoying. Wow, you have a really good time. Or maybe I'm just bad. :P I just got 7.47, probably not going to do much better than that.
28  Super Meat Boy / Meat Talk / Re: Most Annoying Level to Speedrun on: June 27, 2012, 12:48:00 AM
7-5 can go fuck itself.

Yeah I really dislike that level too. How you can't reliably land on the middle platform without jumping is the most annoying thing. My best time is 9.60.

7-5X is a lot more annoying; I hate the middle room in that one, they're never in a convenient spot.

Overall my choice for most annoying level to speedrun is 7-20 (also applies to 7-20X), because it's horrible having to do all those easy parts in a row and then way too many of those FUCKING TINY SAWS that I always die on, while doing it as fast as you possibly can ughhh what a terrible level. I still haven't even got the damn A+.
29  Super Meat Boy / Meat Talk / Re: anyone still playing? on: June 17, 2012, 09:49:07 PM
I'm still playing! Actually I just bought the game this March, (and just made an account) and I haven't even beaten all the levels yet, (Some annoying CH5-CH7 levels to go)  so I'll probably be playing for a while yet.
