Cool story, bro.

I never posted much.

This one seemed relevant to me.

I'm going to make one more video. I'll go through my Xbox (and PC), save and record all the good ones, and delete the rest. It'll be my Super Meat Boy swansong.

Don't hold your breath. I'm super slow with these things.

The question was "Am I still playing?" not "Am I still on a forum?"

No.

I've seen gameplay. It looks awesome. If there has been a Zombie survival RPG before, I don't know about it. Good to see some new IPs these days.

So I loved Shadow Complex, and after hearing it called a "Metroidvania" game so many times, I decided to play a Castlevania game. I got SOTN on XBLA, and ... I don't like it.

My character is slow, underequipped, and dies all the time. I also don't know what I'm doing or where I'm going. Am I just bad? Give me some tips to enjoy the game.

Not everything, just Let's Play. It's asinine. Why would anyone want to watch someone else play a video game, living vicariously through that person, when one could just--you know--PLAY THE GAME?

I usually keep negative things to myself, but the retardedness of Let's Play is so profound, I must inform people.

Let's Play videos are stupid.
Why is the word stupid on 90% of your posts.

This post dumbfounds me. Are you stating something or asking?

I have used the word in question in exactly one other post. That is 2% of my posts, a far cry from your baseless nonsense estimate. So who are you, and what do you think you know about me?

Where's the level editor?
11  General Stuff / Video Games! / Re: Is there anyone that likes playing the Civilization games? on: May 02, 2011, 03:30:31 PM
I played Civ IV like none other last summer. That game was sublime. Never did multiplayer, though.

It sucks.

Ugh, don't start posting anime movies.
14  Super Meat Boy / Meat Talk / Re: Are you disappointed with Super Meat World? on: April 26, 2011, 09:58:09 PM
This is gonna come off as a dickish statement, but I'm extremely disappointed in the PC version in general.  From a technical level it's been a disaster, just one thing after another and it never seems to be at 100%.  When my i7/GTX480 is getting lag spikes you know something's wrong w/ the picture.  If it's not a technical issue on one level, it's a bugged/missing feature on another...and I've been hearing "we're working on it" for over 4 months.

To be honest, I'd be perfectly happy w/ a non-bugged version of devmode we have now.  And just enable the missing features of the Portal, add in completion/A+ and I'm good.  But right now the 360 is the superior version from both a performance and a feature-set standpoint...and that's kind of sad given the ability of the PC platform.  But you know, it's equally disappointing how incompetent the mod community has been thus far to offer any support to users.

For what SMB was worth, it was an honest price for an honest service and I can't complain.  Very few dev's ever support and do as much for the fans as Team Meat, so I'm satisfied w/ the product I got.  Overall, I think SMW was a better idea than it was as a service execution and maybe too much for only two guy's to really deliver on.  So yeah, it's a disappointment to a degree especially the lack of standard features (completion/A+/DLC leaderboards) enjoyed by 360 users.  Hopefully these three things can be rectified in the future, and that's really all I ask for...simply give Steam the same feature set 360 users get.  That's my main realistic hope.

Dang, of all the comments, I'm surprised no one has quoted this. Other than not being "extremely disappointed in the PC version in general," I agree completely. Very well said, Jintek.

I haven't played SMW since it first released. I agree with the sentiment that there's nearly no point in playing new levels if it doesn't save your time or give you an A+.

I was unaware that the editor was out in any form. Did this just happen? No blog post about it?
15  Super Meat Boy / Meat Talk / Re: Should Steve and Meat Ninja disable the leaderboards? on: March 24, 2011, 08:59:38 AM
Steve doesn't break the game he plays the way he was meant to, and it still requires skill to beat the levels with Steve

Wrong.

Steve yes, Meat Ninja no.
