 Would it not be awesome to compete in runs? with each other Let say we have modes were we can choose levels to compete with others from Easy to Extremely hard. =] And a Track record of wins and loss's Best runtime, Favorite map and other things well you guys can imagine too =].  Note added. If you die in a run vs another competitor you loose "of course" 1vs1, or a 4 man or girl free for all.

I always thought of Meat Boy multiplayer like in Trackmania DS... All players a running the level at the same time, collisions off. You can die as much as you want, you can clear the level multiple times too. The winner is who gets 10 clears first, or who has the fastest single run after a timelimit is over.

If the devtools could eventually allow it, it would be great. Even if they considered it for SMB2 (If they ever make a second, I assume they will) I would be pleased. I don't feel like SMB was designed with multiplayer in mind, so it's hard to say.

Excellent idea, i think it's the only way multiplayer could work in SMB. Just racing like with Brownie and counting death as loss, that could be abused by people just waiting the other one to die. |
