Just got Meat Boy yesterday and I am in love with this game. So much pleasure and pain all rolled into one(insert ex-girlfriend joke). I've died over 1000 times already and I'm only to Hell with mostly just the Light levels done a few bandages. I've never played a game where FAILING SO MUCH was this motivating and made success that much sweeter the way SMB does. Anyways, wanted to say whats up to everybody on the forum since I'm new hear. Y'all take it easy.

This is the only game where failing in inevitable. Imagine playing Super Mario world and dying 10000 times before beating the game... I would probably have thrown the cartridge out the window by death #200.

Just buy the game three times, die at least 10,000 times, and become a golden god, and all your dreams well come true.

Thanks for the warm welcome! I'm sure 10,000 deaths are in my future to be honest I think I was at a 1000 before the Salt Factory Boss. I must have died 200-300 times on that level. At least thats what it felt like sitting there for at least an hour death after death and then all of the sudden I finally got to and hit the tiny platform before the final vertical section and beat the level. It would be hilarious to see a video of my face during that hour followed by the Tiger Woods fist pump when I finally got it right.
