Tried these challenges and did not like them.
The levels are good, quite good.
Only problem is that you do not see bandage girl, which leads to a good amount of deaths. And you die instantly at level 1-2 if you dont change your spawinging point.
Neither am I a big fan of the locked camera mode, a much better change would be too add camera box by hitting C and creating some sort of square.
Or have a "hidden" bandage girl, but make it very clear where to go. Many times i just killed myself because I didnt know where to jump or go.
This sounds like an issue with aspect ratio that keeps cropping up. The game, it turns out, is native to a 16:9 resolution and reacts poorly when you change it to a 4:3 or 16:10 one, even though the options are there. One of which is that the boundaries of static cameras change. Because as you can see from the screenshots, the spawn point and Bandage Girl are quite visible in the way I play it. But I'll have a look at changing things around. *sigh* Edit: the problem may be circumvented by playing it in Windowed mode too.

See what I mean? Neither Ogmo nor Bandage Girl are anywhere near the edge of the screen for me.

Yeah, I see that. Saw a post from Lee about different screen resolutions messing up the negative camera bounding. I did try to change the resolution, and the windowed mode, and the ratio. Nothing helped =(
Seems we just has to wait for team meat, to get the editor out then.

If you know anything about how to use devmode, the fix for 4:3 ratio is to set the middle node from 740 to 1000. It breaks 16:9 ratios but will make these levels playable at mediocre resolutions.

I've uploaded a fixed version of Act I where I've changed the camera system from a node to a bounding box. Bounding boxes are annoying when using a zoom level other than the default 500 because the viewing area doesn't match the line you draw, so it was a finicky and tedious chore.
Anyway, the end result is that the camera should scroll when using 1996-era resolutions like 800x600, but should be static when you live in the present and use a 16:9 resolution (I use 1280x720). So if you've had trouble with that like Werner has, try the updated version.

Chapter 4 is uploaded!
The beginning of chapter 4 in the original Jumper is when the difficulty really starts to ramp up. Let's just say that this trend is more or less continued here.

I'll test these soon, hopefully tonight, and give some feedback when I remember. I _really_ love the visual side of all these levels. The way you blend different tiles to create unique textures simply blows my mind. The lighting is also spot-on and creates a very authentic atmosphere that is faithful to the chapter themes. I'm interested in to see if these levels can be completed fast with a little training. No doubt they are meant to be challenges that demand a lot of skill grinding and careful route planning, but that shouldn't stop the most masochistic players from trying to get some speedrun times. People make speedruns in Jumper games so it shouldn't be a problem here.

Ehh, double post. Ryoko, I've played through chapters 1 and 2 now and it's been a blast. Do you mind if I promote your work a bit by uploading some basic playthrough videos about your chapters to youtube? I think it would be nice to show these levels to players outside this forum as I think some of them could be excited to experience more and visit here after seeing them.

Haha, maybe I won't then. My laptop isn't powerful enough to record sound + I suck at editing so I just link clips together and publish them without any fancy effects or extra subtitles. You can watch the quality from the videos I've uploaded about the chapter I'm working on and that's the best I can do at the moment. Anyway, it's your choice.

Ehh, seems like I missed some obvious shortcuts now that I watch these first videos. Oh well, some of the runs are ok, but none of them are near perfect. The Prison: (video removed) Outer Compound: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2djVmeXcFt0

Ch 5 looks very challenging but the visual style is again truly beautiful. I haven't played the original Jumper (only Jumper 2 for a bit) so every new level is a surprise for me. About the videos, you told me not to suck. Weren't those shortcuts intentional?
