Pirating may not be viable as Grey will most likely appear on the 3DS. Nintendo have also said that the 3DS is "unhackable" and reports have come in from Japan saying that if anything illegal happens with the 3DS, they can remotely "terminate" it.
Back to the game, it is a really good Pokemon game and I would recommend it over the other DS Pokemon titles.
