1. Which version did you buy? White
2. Which starter did you pick? The Water Pokemon (don't remember name)
3. How many hours so far? Not too many, have mostly been playing Heartgold.
4. Are you trying to catch most of them? If so, how many? If not, why not? Right now, i'm just trying to complete the game.
5. What's your favorite new Pokemon? Why? Dunno.

I got Pokemon Black and chose Tepig as my starter.  I recently beat the thrid Gym and now I just have to grind my Pansage and Tympole because Pignite became overleveled once I'd beaten the third gym. I am trying to get all the pokémon I can but I don't think I'll bother finishing my previous Pokémon games to get the legendaries and stuff from them. (IE I won't be playing SoulSilver again to get the legendaires cause I never finished that game.) And for those who are interested, my team currently consists of Pignite, Pansage and Tympole. But I think Tympole's gonna evolve next time it levels up and I'm not gonna evolve Pansage for a while, even though I have a Leaf Stone, cause Simisage doesn't actually learn any moves, you need to use TMs.

The water one is Oshawott. And then the internet made a MGS crossover joke.

I recently helped a friend of mine buy the Black version because he was missing about $10. I think that I'm going to wait until a 3DS port is either confirmed or denied before I jump at the standard DS version, since I'd rather not have to go and buy another copy of the game if a 3DS version goes through.

Until then, I might as well answer what questions I can anyway:

1. Which version did you buy?

My friend got the Black version. I don't know his reasoning behind his choice but whatever.

2. Which starter did you pick?

He went with Snivy. Snivy looks like a smug rich person if smug rich people were Pokemon.

3. How many hours so far?

4. Are you trying to catch most of them? If so, how many? If not, why not?

5. What's your favorite new Pokemon? Why?

I don't know about my friend, but my favorite so far has to be Timburr. Instead of relying on silly standard attacks, he attacks his enemies with a giant piece of lumber unusually larger than the Pokemon itself. That's awesome.

I beat Pokemon black about 2 weeks ago and haven't played it much since.
I unlocked almost everything beat Cynthia and the elite four 3 times now, found the sages, and now have nothing to do in the game. I know there is playing online but thats only fun for so long. Should I restart and play through again with different Pokemon and access to dreamworld to play with different Pokemon and keep Pokemon black longer to get event Pokemon. Or trade straight across to my local game shop for Okamiden or Radiant Historia, are those games worth the play and lengthy enough for me?

I heard Radiant Historia is pretty good. Although you might not like it if you're into Pokemon, they're totally different.

Waiting for Grey.

Actually, I've heard that they might not be doing a third Gen V game. Still not sure, though. I was talking to my brother, telling about the soon-to-be-revealed-pokemon-game-that's-most-likely-a-spin-off-but-could-be-something-else, I said "It could be an early reveal of the inevitable-named Grey" But then he said "Actually, I've heard they won't be doing that. I can't remember whether it was that it won't be called Gray or whether they won't be doing a 3rd Gen V game, but I think it was the second." So yeah. I never heard of this before so I don't know but if they don't do a 3rd Gen V game, I will be disappoint. :/

Anyway, I have a rage story to share with you guys. I was on Route 5, training (read: Audino grinding) my team cause my Palpitoad got overleveled in the 4th gym. I was using Pansage as my first Pokemon, cause he was lowest leveled. I find a ground shaking spot and it was a Cinccino, which has a 5% encounter rate for ground shaking spots. I decided to try and catch it. I used Seed Bomb, and it damaged it for about 2/5 of it's max health, so I figure, "I can use it again without killing it." I use it again. Critical hit. FFFFFFUUUUUU-

Totally impossible, it has been one of their best money-maker since the 1st gen, and we all know Nintendo only make games for money these days.

Why would Nintendo NOT make a third game?

Allow me to explain to you one of the most important things in the world.

We are consumers, Nintendo is a big bad corporation. Consumers are usually fanboys or idiots, and Big Bad Corporations exploit consumers to get their money, by making new products that are just slight modifications of previous ones. Us, being the idiotic Consumers (who have the money) fall into their trap, and give them the money they so desire, paying for an almost exact copy of the product we bought a year ago.

Isn't that what I said 2 or 3 posts ago.

That's like comparing a post that says:

Quote
guns shoot stuff

To a post that explains in a manner even an idiot can understand how guns work.
