I only use IE to test if my stuff works/looks right in there too. Seriously, you are not supposed to develop "for" IE, Firefox, or any other browser, you are supposed to develop according to HTML/CSS/ECMA specs, and as long as the browser renders according to the specs, everything should work out in a beautifully cross-platform way. This approach works well with most browsers. Even though they were all developed independently, Chrome, Firefox, Opera, etc all have remarkably similar interpretations of the specs. But IE is ALWAYS the odd man out. It's fucking annoying.
Well, I got three people to ditch IE. Let's see if I can get even more.

My mom, I've tried to get her to switch but she's too stubborn.

You're on a Mac, and the OS's default browser is called Safari But yeah, I haven't used IE in what feels like forever. Microsoft really needs to step up their game... or, I dunno, forget IE altogether and install some other browser on Windows by default.
