Hey, you're supposed to be posting poor levels in this thread!

This looks pretty solid for a first level. The only obvious mistake I'm noticing is that you didn't cover the sawblade near Bandage Girl. Besides, is this sawblade even necessary?

Otherwise, this is looking pretty good. Your additional touches to the level background and layout are definitely welcome.

Thanks. It isn't. But i'll fix that. BTW, do lights sometimes go over tiles? o.o

So any word on when/if those Super Meat Bros. levels will hit SMW?  Those are a few I must play out of necessity.

Only thing I woulda changed is that the camera follows Tofu Boy instead of being fixed over the whole level. (that and the tofu boy problems with uploading)

This is my first level, called "Rainy Day". It's currently up on the level portal as we speak. It'd be nice if you could check it out!

Here are my first two levels. Nothing fancy!

'Escargot'. Same style as Edmund made the Ogmo levels. I didn't know about the bandage girl issue with the 8-bit tileset, so she's tiny. I think most people would give up after a few attempts at the drop on the right.

'Flap'. Flywrench. 4-bit erotica.

Stepping Stones

Squeeze/fix

You'd think with the forums dead I could post in the only section of the board that is remotely active, this is the correct thread (sort of) although it hasn't been used in months.

Edit; I fixed it and reuploaded it. Look for squeeze/fix. I added a few more cosmetics to spice it up a bit more at the top and a few saws. I really wish there were a way to delete your levels or something, I hate to contribute to the duplicate levels on the portal but there is really no other choice, I had to test it as an uploaded level to make sure.

If anyone has played MIRRORS EDGE's time trials pack I am sort of going for the glaring flowing edge design, pure platforming. No pointless aesthetic.

I made another level, I am quite pleased with this. Come tomorrow if I still want to keep editing I think I will go for a chapter and just make a new thread in level showcase. Derp, good thing I didn't upload it I totally blanked and forgot to fix a major shortcut.

^^I'll be sure to play through these next time I'm in-game, give some impressions.

Btw, the Mirror's Edge time trials were badass!  Awesome place for inspiration.

Edit:

Just beat it!!!  Great fucking level man, gameplay-wise my only criticism/recommendation would be to make the holes a bit easier to jump into.  I must have spent 90% of my time trying for those two holes, maybe put an alternate path somewhere.  If made easier possibly add more carefully placed saws to keep the challenge.  But anyway, very impressed and loved the level a lot.  I wouldn't mind playing a whole chapter like this.

Well, I wanted to try out mapping for this game. So I did, here is a crappy screenshot from the editor. The end levels were my favorite by far, so I set out to do one that plays in a similar fashion (hard and relatively long, but not too gimicky). Then I discovered that the meat world is actually disabled :/. Oh well, if it ever gets back I might just make a chapter like this.
