Discussion topic. I don't know why, I just feel like heaping praise on this game.
Whats your favourite thing about Super Meat Boy?
For me, it's the difficulty curve. I played the XBLA demo and thought it was rock fucking solid. Level 2-2 probably took me twenty minutes. When I bought the full game, I looked at the achievements and saw 'Iron Boy' and just thought I'd never get it, that it would be nearly impossible. But after I completed the light world, I went back to the Forest for Iron Boy and couldn't believe how easy it had all become. I love the way that the steadily increasing difficulty hones your skill, making the next challenge tough but still possible.
It's a tough choice though, I love the art style and tight controls too. But the difficulty curve has been the most rewarding thing for me.

I like The Kid. His double jump lets me break some levels, or avoid obstacles entirely. Plus, it just so satisfying to unlock him.

Everything. Probably, SMB is the best game ever. For me, of course I mean, it's great. Dynamic gameplay, over 300 hardcore levels, pretty hard achievements (steam-version). That 15 bucks well spent, heheh. Definitely worth it.

This game has some of the coolest boss levels/battles that I have seen. SMB is a very rewarding game and I agree with you Imposter, I love being able to go back to levels I had problems with previously and beat them in 1 run. Other than that I would say I love the art style of the game, the music fits the game really well. SMB is definitely one of the best platformers to date.

Really, the fact that the game is both hard AND fair.
I never liked platformers like IWTBTG because there was never a chance of winning without prior knowledge. With SMB (for most levels), the design is very good - if you're playing well there's nothing to really stop you from winning first time.
Also that the controls feel extremely natural, but have a learning curve to them.

EVEYTHING
Truly, a crappy answer. I guess I should add I really do love the music too. I enjoyed playing Hell's Dark World because of Devil 'n' Bass, despite being introduced to the demon maws.

Truly, a crappy answer. I totally did that on purpose... Yeah, totally *looks left and right* *runs away* But seriously, I do like everything about the game, and it's hard to choose a favorite thing

The best thing about Super Meat Boy is that it delivers in those areas that make a great platformer. 1) Awesome controls 2) Great level design and variety 3) Difficulty (without any cheap shots) 4) Fitting music 5) Good amount of content (a lot of levels and stuff you can unlock) 6) Replay value is high
Of course it doesn't take more than 30 minutes to beat the game (Light world) if you are familiar with the it, but when you are playing it for the first time it will take several hours. It's the same with the levels, if you are familiar with the pattern, you can usually beat them between 10-30seconds... but when you play them for the first time, you can get stuck in one level for 30minutes (or more if you suck =P).
I really love how the game is 2D with old-school art as well. I wish there would be the same amount of 2D side-scrollers/platformers as there is FPS-games like CoD. It's extremely hard to find these kind of games nowadays.
The soundtrack is good, but it's certainly not in the top video-game soundtracks ever (my opinion of course).
