...how much your skill grows in a month.

I spent 45 minutes on Omega the first time I played it, and was proud to do it in such little time compared to others. Re-tried it today, and did it in one try. Any particular levels you hated and got way better later on?

Probably all of them. My first run through the game (I mean 106%) was horrible, something like 7000 deaths, I guess. I didn't count my 2nd run-through, but I did with my 3rd attempt - 1200 deaths :P

And after getting cotton alley achievements I was able to finish whole chapter (light + dark) with something like 10 deaths

That's nice and bad. Nice because you feel, that you own in this game. Bad, because all levels seem to become so easy :/ And I'm too lazy to look for harder ones and launch them in devmode, so I have to wait for the editor/portal :( :P

XOXO - Took me about an hour to do it originally, now I can do it without dying about 95% of the time, and have actually got the #2 spot (possibly legit #1 as the top guy has been banned...) on PC and 360. I find it so easy now it's the only level i've actually bothered speedrunning.

I tried wood boy when I got stuck in hell. then I went and beat the game (just the end) and got stuck on some cotton alley levels, went back and got wood boy on my first try. then after getting golden god I went and got salt boy on my 4th run through the chapter (when I was practicing for the real runs)

I'm on 18000 deaths at 92%. Oh dear.

I haven't been playing the original game much ever since I've started using devmode, as I was busy making levels and most importantly, playing other fan-made levels, some of which can be really damn hard.

For laughs, I decided to replay the original levels again lately and I managed to achieve both "Maggot Boy" and "Dr.Fetus Boy". I had to restart Maggot Boy 4 times before I finally got it, Dr.Fetus Boy only required 2 attempts.

And to say I first thought getting those would be impossible.

XOXO took me four hours straight to pass.  LoL!  It was primarily because I thought you had to RUN through the top corridor... but yeah, long time.

I think from Missile Boy and onward I thought each upcoming no-death run would be "impossible", but I just motivated myself to do the run (in order, and later in a specified run order) once a day.  Missile Boy came in 3 weeks, Demon Boy came in 3 weeks, Zombie Boy came in 2 weeks, Girl Boy in 1 week, and Impossible Boy in 3 days.

So the lesson here, IMO, is that consistent play is what makes you better.  Don't get too frustrated if things seem to be getting worse on any one particular day because nobody will be that consistent.  But if you keep track of how good you are over long periods of time with even a little of daily play time, you'll see that you're getting pretty dang good :-D
