I felt like voicing an opinion here. As great as the 4-bit levels are for the storymode with warpzones and everything, I really dislike playing full chapters with the 4-bit style. Particularly some of these devmode levels I have been playing. The 4-bit style really takes away from the fluidity of the controls and just feels clunky and boring in full 20 level chapters. Feel free to contradict me, I just wanted to say this.

I personally like 4bit, it's my favorite retro style

plus 4bit meat boy has the fastest spawn rate of all the meat boys, so there's that

It's a matter of personal preference.

If you like it, you like it. If you don't, you don't.

Controls are not altered in the slightest, so what you're experiencing is your own problem.

Oh no!!!! Yeah I'm not hating on the 4-bit, I think the style looks great, I just feel that the levels feel a little clunky. Does anybody else think that?

IMO They go for a difficult, but simplistic approach. (1977)

Then you're playing on stages that aren't as well or creatively-designed if they feel clunky.

The tileset is irrelevant to how the gameplay is affected aside from the limitation of obstacles.

My only problem with them is the psychedelic flashing that some of them do.
