Hello. I sent Tuen a link to my steam page, so I should be on the list soon too. How many people have actually gotten this? Steam says .1%, but depending on how they do rounding and updating, that could be like 400 people easily.

Oh yeah, and I did 5X last. Should have done 12X last though. It was a pretty legit run, although I restarted They Bite like 4 or 5 times just to be safe.

Yep.  His run has been confirmed.  This user comes to us via a Reddit link I posted.  Congrats to the player with the strangest route to Impossible Success that I've ever seen (getting the achievement while leaving a majority of the no-death runs un-done!).

Nice list you got there, Tuen! Since I actually thought about this idea first, it's only fittin I should add some more members:

Visiiri: One of the very first people to achieve Impossible Boy, all the way back on January 8th.

73L: His trials to get Impossible Boy were well documented on this forum.

This guy is either very talented, or very stupid :P Look at his achievements (all from ONE day - 07.01.2011):

8:59 pm - Maggot Boy
9:11 pm - Zombie Boy
9:25 pm - Girl Boy
9:43 pm - Impossible Boy

I mean, doesn't it stink a little? :/ It's possible, but cmon...

Ya, there's really no way to know. 0.1% is as low a number as the global achievements page will register, so as long as at least 1 person has it, that's what it's going to display. It could be 10 people, it could be hundreds.

@Bullexcrement: Visiiri is a forum member. If I remember correctly, he's posted some speed running videos and has a high position on the leaderboards also. He's legit.

I think I remember it still being 0.0% even when there was at least 1 person confirmed to have it.

I updated the list to add the two mentioned people.  They have steam achievement proof (even though one has the hardest no-death runs clumped together like that), so I can't do much about it at the moment.

The other cool thing I did was add dates to the names.  The dates are associated with the evidence that is linked to their name.  So if you took a long time editing your video... well, for the most part it shouldn't matter since you won't really be running into someone else's completion time.

I didn't call him a cheater or smth, it's just damn strange for me that he's got 3 hardest achievements (+ light rapture :P) in less than an hour :P

EDIT: and about exact number of people who got the achievements, there was a page in teh web, which used to count people's achievements (all you had to do was to paste link to your steam profile page there), but it's fuckd up now, look here:

http://supermeatboy.com/forum/index.php/topic,657.0.html

It shows some stupid numbers now :P

EDIT: and I'm gonna have some 'new' graphic card next week, so I'll try to bring some real evidence, that I'm able to get impossible boy ;) I mean - I'm gonna re-run it, like I've made with girl boy.

It's possible. It might round up or down at some point, but it's definitely been at 0.1% for a long time.

Oh ya, there's no question he's an asshole.

Basically, the forula is like people tha bought the game/people that don't have the achievement = the % of guys that have the achievement.

So if 500000000000 guys buy Super Meat Boy today, the % will go down even if 5 guys complete une achievement today.

Yes, but that many people don't buy the game every day. And because the ratio of achievement getters to people who own the game is so big, one person getting the achievement is FAR more significant to the percentage than one, or even thousands of people buying the game. Therefore, thousands of people would have to buy the game every day in order to counteract a single person getting the achievement. Sales are good, but I'm going to doubt they're that good. Therefore, while people buying the game does decrease the percentage, I'm going to bet that the amount is relatively insignificant compared to the rate that people are obtaining the achievement, despite how difficult it is to obtain.

TL;DR: MATH

Lets use some maths to estimate how many people have this.

I take it that the number at the top of the leaderboards it the number of entries in the boards. The number for the overall leaderboard was 187,805 when I checked.

So 0.1% of 187,805 is about 188 people.

If we take account of rounding then the range should be something like 94 to 282 people having it.

94 is the lower end of the range based on the assumption that the percentage would be rounded down to 0.0% if less than 0.05%.

Yeah, I believe that the percentage has ready 0.1% since very early on (and we have confirmed achievements back into January), so I'm going to go out on a limb and say that it just registers 0.1% as soon as someone gets it.  Maybe if two people get it.
