That def sucks man!
But it's not that big of a deal, I've completed the game 3 times now (2x Golden God, soon to be 3). So have some fun and do it all again, you'll be far better and faster anyway.
On my laptop account I just snagged all 100 bandages...again. And I'm now using the CC Pro and loving it, almost as good as the Saturn controller.
But anyway, I'd say DL a save online if it's a big deal. And 74 hours isn't bad at all bro, my main acc has 112 hours, laptop is 80 something, god only knows what the 360 is.

I've never suffered so much from a game like Meat Boy.
Today my Steam crashed and i decided to reinstall it, when i started meat boy up the whole game was reseted to level 1. None of my 106% completed was there. MY FUCKING 74hours PLAYED ARE GONE.
Seriously why did my save get removed when i reinstalled Steam, every other game does save the game in "My Documents" and are still there.
Jesus...i just cant replay Meat Boy. It's too much hassle.
I'm so emo right now.
Dude, when Steam Crashes, you don't reinstall it... Why the fuck did you reinstall it?

Your save was removed, probably because A) it corrupted or B) When you reinstalled Steam, your data is IN THE STEAM FOLDER! You deleted your save from there. SMB doesn't touch My Documents as far as i know.

Thanks guys, i think i'm gonna give it a try again. It's still one of my favorite games of all time.
They can take your saves files, but they can never take your muscle memory.

FUCKKK!!! Just unlocked the Kid for the 3rd time on my laptop account!!! Holy shit, and to make it worse the damn game crashed on the 3rd level...forcing me to do 1 and 2 again...
So yeah, I'd say do it all again, and back up your saves next time.

i actually like playing it over and over. i have played through most of the main worlds on multiple xboxes and started a steam game. I don't really care about finishing everything. I just like playing the game.

Because when you delete Steam, it deletes all the files it has. It the game has Steam Cloud, the save is on the steam servers and you cant loose it. But, hey, SMB doesnt have Steam Cloud, so...
Dont worry, I lost my save too. I'm replaying the game and I has Worlds 1~4 at 100% again, so in no time you will get again 106%
This. Like many games, it's saved games get saved in the same directory as the game itself. By reinstalling, you lost that saved game. Braid saves "in the cloud", so you can access the same saved game over multiple computers. Or at least that's what I'm lead to believe. Maybe it's fairies. Either way, when I bought a new computer, I made sure to burn my save to a disc so I could easily drop it back into the newly installed version and continue from where I was.

You can get another person's 106% save file and put that in for your progress back, then try to beat their times. When my harddrive destroyed itself, I borrowed a friend's and aside from losing my Dark World work, I'm fine now.

Super Meat Boy doesn't save to a steam--and the save is not stored in a documents location. Your save is stored in the /Steam/Steamapps/common/super meat boy/userdata/savegame.dat. I'd imagine that--being under the steam folder, it'd be uninstalled when Steam is.
