Anybody play the Far Cry games? I've played One and Two.

Far Cry one tells the story of a man on a mysterious and dangerous island, full of hostile mercs. An evil plot, and a horrible mutation make this game's plot amazing. It also has multiplayer. For it's time, this was an amazing game with awe inspiring graphics. You can also kill Pigs! BURN THE ANIMAL HATERS!

Far Cry 2 had nearly nothing to do with the original. You can choose between several characters and find yourself in a war-torn Africa. It's not as good as the original, at least in my opinion. You die easier, and the gameplay is very different. The graphics are astounding, but the Multiplayer is lacking. The Level editor is extremely easy to use, but you can only design multiplayer levels and you can't make mods - making it generally less liked than the original.

Far Cry was a great game, and a huge graphic milestone back in the day.

It had great action, a bit horror elements, well balanced weapons etc.


Didn't played Far Cry 2 til this day though. I don't know why, but it lagged like hell on my xbox360 (yeah I know shooters and console = hate, but I don't have a powerful PC).

Far Cry was just great. Sometimes, I've just stopped to watch water, sun or whatever :D - 8/10

Far Cry 2 could be great game. But it isn't. Few annoying things destroyed whole feel of the game. First thing - constantly respawning enemies. Even if you burned some place to the ground, there were fresh load of enemies every time you came back there :/ Guys in jeeps were annoying like hell too. But biggest problem was about gameplay. 'Missions' were boring like hell (drive somwhere and kill somebody), searching for malaria medication (or smth, don't remember) was pain in the ass, etc. This game was just very boring, technically great game. I just finished it because I wanted to see if something changes later on. It didn't :P So overall - 5/10

You forgot to mention the fact that you die WAYYYY too fast. Hell, EVERYONE dies way too fast.

I remember playing this years ago... I raged so hard at 2 bullet deaths, but I found it a buffet to the eyes.
