I recently got into the devmode editor, I've been making levels for a few days and I thought I might as well start a chapter. As the name implies, this chapter uses the Salt Factory tile set, I used the Rapture tile set for Tact though.

I planned on having 20 levels, but I'm currently stuck at what to make.
The lengths of the levels are all over the place, but the difficulty ranges between medium and hard.

Tact (There is a button right beside you when you start, not very visible in this picture.)

Keyline (the third key on this doesn't drop sometimes, just die once and it will work properly)

Thanks, I'm working on a new level right now, "Style Mile" (bonus if you know where that's from)

EDIT: finished it, difficulty is comparable to Cotton Alley's "4 letter word". Definitely going to be the last level of the chapter.

EDIT 2: Finished HX2.

EDIT 3 (god damn someone post in here): Finished "Tact".

Just an FYI, you don't get to set the par times when the stages are put into the level portal, Edmund stated that the par time will be automatically calculated: your personal finish time + 10% of that time. Where the finish time is from your successful run that must be completed before you can upload to the portal as proof that it is not an impossible stage.

And on Tact, the button right next to Meat Boy was far too difficult for me to notice until I started staring at the screen.

Also you forgot to add Tact to the OP. That's been taken care of for you.

actually I arranged the levels in the order that they appear in the chapter, Tact is there, it's just near the top because it is level 10.

also, it's near impossible to not press the button

Some of these days, I swear I'm dyslexic.

On the Style Mile video comments, you stated that you zoomed the camera out a bit. Are you going to finalize that change or no?

Yes, I zoomed it out to -600 rather than -500. Small change, but it's staying.

I also removed the Sawblade launcher and the light inside the last salt-pit from Keyline. launcher was just annoying, and the light looked out of place.

I might re-record those videos.

I don't remember there being a sawblade launcher in Keyline except at the very beginning.

Yeah, I got rid of that, kills you 50% of the time.

Shamefully double-posting, but I'm done with this. I wanted to get this done before the XBLA update but another 15 levels in a few days wouldn't work out very well.

I've added a download, I'm releasing it as a mini-chapter.

These were pretty nicely done. Didn't care for Tact; levels that make you double back the whole way across are not my favorite, but at least it was short. Otherwise they were pretty nice, and generally well-detailed.

The key that falls into the salt pit on Keyline sorta bugged me because you can't see it fall from the beginning, so the timing takes a lot of trial and error. Also, the salt pit at the end is perfectly easy to jump over even if the lock bridge has gone.

Thanks, and yeah I wanted to make a double back level that involved buttons, but I tried to make it as short as possible.

Keyline was meant to be more of a speed-run level, it was intentional that the last jump was possible even though the bridge had disappeared. The fastest way to do the jump would be to grab the last key and run back with some locks still there, rather than having to wall-jump towards bandage girl.

I agree, I should have made the falling key a bit more obvious.
