Gentlemen.
My first mini-chapter.

The Gauntlet!

The gauntlet will be 6 levels, using each non-warpzone tileset!
The aim of the difficulty is medium-high. These levels are moderately long (~50 seconds from start to finish), which is what i want.

As of right not, The Forest Gauntlet, and The Rapture Gauntlet are done (still need some polish, imo),

The Forest
The "Sea-of-Saw"

The Hospital
Up-and-coming

The Salt Factory
Too salty, atm

The Hell (Origin of the Kid, i'm sure)
Snowball in Hell....

The Rapture
Pics, or it didn't happen

The End
Nope.end

Feedback, and criticism is appreciated.

Just remember, these aren't for the impatient. Chances are, you'll die ~100 times before getting to bandage girl, you might only die 5.

Download Here!

Also, I completed The Rapture gauntlet, then The Forest. Then i redid the middle for The Rapture Gauntlet.

Needs more saws, imo.

trolololol

Well, The Rapture Gauntlet has them at the beginning. Only there.

Also, The Hostpital Gauntlet currently only has 1 minisaw. I think it'll be fine that way.

I'll probably reduce to total Mini-Saws in The Forest. They'll still be there, but not as many.

Good thing you didn't play the Rapture stage, then.

Anyway OP, your levels are WAY too difficult for the length you gave to them. Most of the obstacles found in the Rapture stage probably would make pretty damn hard levels on their own, but the fact that you stuck all of these ridiculously hard sections next to each other in a really long level is plain baffling. Also, your levels really don't strive to have any kind of theme, it's just a bunch of really hard parts stuck to each other with very little thought. Your levels are way too unforgiving for the length, a lot of the stuff in there leaves no room for error.

The End features really long levels, but they all leave a reasonable margin of error to the player and not every section requires insane precision. While The Forest stage wasn't as bad in this aspect, there were still many overly precise jumps and those really annoying minisaws.

There were some cool parts in the levels (such as the waving sawblades in the beginning of Forest) but in overall, those levels are a mess and they're way too hard to be enjoyable.

Alright. I'll be reducing the dickishness. I want them to be hard, and reasonable difficulty.

EDIT: aaaaand now rockets and the gravity orb in Rapture Gauntlet aren't working... wow.

EDIT2: Okay, i've made The Forest and The Rapture less "IWBTG-esqe". I'll get those out when i finish The Hospital. A nice Keyblock run there.

proof of less masochism.
