I use him often enough. He's great for fans, and has one of the best horizontal jumps in the game.

Never really found a use for Josef. I mostly use Ogmo, Jill and recently Naija.

I actually never used Ogmo in the PC version because Josef seemed more useful before I made the time to unlock The Kid, and I didn't use Jill in either version since she seemed like the Dixie to Meat Boys Diddy (easier to control but otherwise all around worse.)

Jills air break isnt actually easier to control. Especially if your using a keyboard. I prefer ogmo to the kid still though.  |

Ah, no I worded that poorly I see. What I meant was that Jill is worse than Meat Boy but has the advantage of air breaks to make decent a little easier, much like how Dixie is slower than Diddy and can't jump as well but she can glide making air control easier. Does that make more sense  ? |

I agree with every other post I read- he can help, but not nearly as much as anyone else.
The real problem with Joseph is that his second jump hardly goes upwards. It gives you a speed boost, yes, but that isn't always what it takes. I actually use Ogmo the most because his jump is average, in the sense of distance and height.

I'd like to continue this thread but everything is almost said ; josef isn't good enough to to be played. Actually we could create challenges like "beat that level with him", but it would be easier with a character specific leaderboards.

This is why I can't wait to make josef only maps in the editor  . and yes his power isn't really good at but I love Machinarium so I use him very much. Also I'd like to add that his special reminds me of Yoshi's half-assed double jump in Yoshis Island  . |
