So as many of you know Super Meat World will be up on steam very soon.

the 1st update will be a series of a few that will happen over the course of the next month.

the 1st update will be the super meat world level portal that features 8 new chapters for you guys to check out (you made most of them)

with this update devmode will be turned off for about 4 days so we can rig up the steam user name system as we make the tranistion from devmode to the level editor.

after this the level editor will go live, but will be in a public beta state. we wont be pushing people to the level editor right away, so we want to try and keep its appearance on the DL for a while so you guys can give us feedback, we can fix it up and you can seed the portal with good levels before everyone gets their hands on it.

all dev mode levels will work in the level editor... BUT! there is a chance that you wont be able to edit dev mode levels in the editor. so please finish up your devmode levels before you update. (the level editor removes a lot of non functional objects that if were placed in your devmode level might crash the editor if you attempt to edit them).

after we officially announce the editor to the public we will be updating yet again with the "enter the unknown" feature.

anyway, just giving all you guys a heads up early. youve made some amazing levels and im very proud of whats been coming out of this forum. we made this update for YOU guys, enjoy it, and bear with us as we constantly patch this thing

I have a question... First, SMW with 8 chapters will come, then a second update with the editor and finally a third update with enter the unknown and the public announce, right?

Thanks a lot for the update, this is indeed awesome.

So in less than a day, the update will be released and devmode will be turned off? Or is this an april fool?

But this looks very nice anyway. Great work!

EDIT:
Another question:

(you made most of them)
So who made the others?

Hey, Edmund! I have a question. Now, I've intentonally held back on all questions for Team Meat about the editor because I was so fed up with everyone pestering you for info (and I've done my best to get people off your backs, seeing as you've been so damn busy and releasing this update was such a pain - I'm a game music composer, so I've been involved in some indie projects and I know how hard it can be), but I'd really like to know one thing.

See, I'm an achievement whore. I can't help it; it's in my blood. I love to play games, but if there are achievements then that gives me an extra incentive. I've been following your Twitter feed and other channels closely, so I know that there will be new achievements added for the portal. My question is this: If I start playing the new levels when the update comes, will I have to play them again later for the new achievements to register? Not that I mind, but I'd like to know because I may just postpone playing all the new awesome levels until the achievements are added if they will monitor my progress "from scratch", so to speak.

(This might be a very stupid question, seeing as progress is recorded in the save file and that could just save what I've done until the achievements are added, so feel free to ignore it if you don't think it's worth your time.)

the only achievements we know we are adding later will be ones you get for getting your levels and chapters featured in the portal.

we have no solid plans for any others.
