Woah, these look really cool. I hope they're not too hard, I'd definitely love giving them a spin. I really like how you coloured the ground so it looks like VVVVVV.

I will marry you if you make a level that feels as awesome as The Tower in VVVVVV. These look sweet though, not too bad. I'll try them happily when you're done.

Am I supposed to put something important here?

Do you ever stop? This looks really cool, I'm a fan of gravity games. Also, you need to update your signature to include this one. I can only hope that I find someone who would let me download SMB on their PC so I can play these chapters...

Alright, I figured out how to make a signature! Aren't you all proud of me? You aren't? That's not very nice! Hmmph. You're all just jealous, because my signature is so cool! Yeah. Jealous. Check out my fanfic, the Revenge of Dr. Fetus, here: http://supermeatboy.com/forum/index.php/topic,356.0

Why is Viridian himself tinted in each of the levels?

Ah yes, that gave me a bit of nostalgia when I first realized it, because it looks exactly like the beginning of the game! First, a teleporter divot, then the "Conundrum" section with the first few spikes. It always helps to know about the source material! Anyway, looking like a great set of levels in the 8-bit style! Seems like you won't stop until right before the Level Editor update is released. Very impressive.

Because, unfortunately, Meat Boy (or Viridian or whoever) is on the same layer as the Active Layer, so when you tint that you tint the character as well. Not my call, sadly. When I saw the beginning of level 1, I almost jizzed myself.

The nice thing about VVVVVV is that the level Conundrum explains the entire mechanics of the game in one move, by forcing a flip. Unfortunately, Viridian in SMB has a few more things to learn, most notably the fixed-height ceiling jump, which is unintuitive enough to be worth a demonstration. But it's still basically the same idea.

I'm not quite sure myself, to be honest, but maybe you could make the ground regular, and then use a tinted foreground layer for the colour? Or is that not an option due to something?

I don't see why that would be impossible other than it being a hassle.
On the other hand, I kind of like the color-shifted Viridian. Considering VVVVVV is supposed to be a pseudo-C64 game, I would expect characters to all be color-swapped from screen to screen.

Hmm, true. Nice to know that such a strategy would work when I get the level editor, though.

Goddamnit! I was in the middle of making a Viridian chapter when I saw you had all this... It's a lot better than my stuff. Also, I don't know how you have your layers set up, but I put all my spikes on layer 5 and made it red, since the spikes in VVVVVV are all red.

I thought about doing that, except that would also turn all of the other hazards and props on that layer red. Red spikes aren't so bad, but red saws, red rocket launchers, red pipes, etc. all look kind of garish together.

Yeah, that's what I thought, I didn't know how your layers were set up. Anyway, awesome work, keep it up!
