Digging in to this, never really tried with the old devmode, and I'm doing ok but have a few questions:

1. Layer colors are straight up broken right now, right? I think that's what edmund's post on page 1 meant, but again, not sure

2. When the time comes to upload these levels, the music will be based on what tileset you chose, right? I want the dark salt factory music, so I'm just using the salt factory tileset.

I'm not sure if its just me, whenever I delete something. ANYTHING. I get stuck with the perspective changer, like I'm constantly holding down shift. I have no clue how to make this stop, it seems like it might be a bug?

And Tunneling, are you sure the SHIFT key isn't being held down? If not, then you've just got a buggy glitch.

My keyboard IS a piece of crap.. My right shift key is broken but I have it disabled via keytweak.

No one else is having this issue then?

Hey guys, uhhh when I use the -devmode launch option all it does is sends me to some green tiles with Meat Boy...and all I can do is run around and wall jump...where is this editor you speak of?

Meh, I gotta say I was expecting a lot more...  I'm still gonna be editor man for the next few weeks doing my Meat Boy, Kid and Bandage Girl chapters.  But I didn't expect it to be so bare bones and buggy/unintuitive.  We're gonna need a tutorial thread w/ all this too, because I don't see it explaining things much better by final...

This is really just a "for the impatient devmode person" release. Don't worry, you'll pick up the ropes soon enough!

If you go into layer colors, there should be a value below "Alpha" (I forget what it's called now). You have to change it to something above 0 for the desired color to be visible.

- Making a tile corner using shift allows you to jump of an angle like this:

It froze on (my brother). He loaded 4-11X into the level editor to make an expert remix of it and while playtesting as meat boy it 'froze' like this:

1) Reached bandage girl
2) Hit saw
3) Continued flying right until he hit a block
4) The timer stopped
5) No controls worked: meat boy couldn't be moved, exit didn't work, no menus could be opened, etc. but the lasers still animated and made sounds, meat boy still breathed, if you focused away meat boy did the (splatter 100x times a second because the game thinks you're falling into the floor and ejects you ever frame) thing

I've gotten that far but clicking OK does nothing, all you can do is apply to all and cancel.
