Does anyone know how to make the buttons and keys work? I want them to open the locked blocks but how?

Select the key then press f8 then move your mouse to the block you want to start unlocking and get the x and y values from the grid part on the bottom right and enter the x and y values in the f8 menu.

Do you need to download that F8 devmode guide?

Meh, I gotta say I was expecting a lot more...  I'm still gonna be editor man for the next few weeks doing my Meat Boy, Kid and Bandage Girl chapters.  But I didn't expect it to be so bare bones and buggy/unintuitive.  We're gonna need a tutorial thread w/ all this too, because I don't see it explaining things much better by final...

The only "unintuitive" part about it is learning the hotkeys. Once you get used to them, it's much faster than relying on buttons and menus.

This is probably a known thing, but if you leave some tiles "selected", it really messes with trying to do stuff with objects.

Whenever I try to enter the -devmode command into a new game, I get a runtime message, I've gotten a runtime error before, but never in something like this! The error is pictured below, in all it's wrongful glory.

I would like a fix for this problem. Possibly someone who's had this before...?

Now I know you might say to me something along the lines of "Wait until the full editor comes out, this one's buggy". I was just wondering if I could get a fix for a problem like this, because I would really like to get back to Level Editing quickly!

It looks like there's an object in The End that crashes the editor when you scroll through as well. I did this on a brand new map for the tileset, even.

True, I've gotten a bit more used to it so far.  But I still think I'd be better if there was a more user-friendly way to ease people into understanding the commands and having fun creating levels.  Hopefully this is massively improved by release, otherwise why even release the "editor", devmode was fine.

Also, I really hope there's a workaround eventually for the community to use their own music.  My roommate is finishing up his Bayonetta "Lets Dance, Boys" remix for OC and I'd LOVE to use it for my Bandage Girl chapter...

How would one create a chapter?
EDIT:
More specifically, add music?

Make 20 levels and wait until it's fully released.

Then you can choose any ingame music.

Actually, the minimum is 3, maximum is 20.
