1. Yes. Bandage Girl and Meat Boy occupy layer 4; enemies can occupy any layer, I think. With tint levels, choose your layer color such that you have an amount of 1 for total color saturation.

2. Parallax can be in any layer.

3. Tiles can be placed on layer 2, 4, and 6. Meat Boy only interacts with 4. However, you can place a window tile on 2 and have it look out onto 4, or 4 onto 6, and MB will still interact with it.

4. You cannot modify enemies like that.

1. Okay, thanks, but can you also tint characters or just totally saturate them?  I'm open to the possibility that this just isn't working at the moment because I tried full saturation to black and there was no change.

2. I know it can be placed in any layer, but no matter what layer you place it in, it always appears behind the tiles, regardless of their layer.  Is there anyway to bring it to the front?

4. That sucks.  I may be wrong but couldn't you reszie enemies somehow in the old devmode?  I thought I saw it in some video.  And does that mean the big red blood clot things are an entirely separate enemy from the regular ones?

I dont recall ever seeing a custom chapter/level having resized enemies. And i've played through at least 70% of the ones on the forum.

1. You have to reload the level before you'll see a change. And yes, you can simply tint them as well.

2. Oh, I see your problem. Parallax items are by default shifted into the background; that's how you actually get the parallax effect. just hold shift and use the scroll wheel to move it into the foreground.

4. The large clots are indeed separate enemies from the small ones. You could not resize enemies in devmode either.

May or may not have been said already, but when you select a third level for a chapter, it crashes the client.

Whoops.  I read the second post in this thread and thought "Oh okay, the upload button is disabled."

Now my crappy test level is up in the world...

On a side note, it's rather interesting the effects scaling has on objects; it causes them to move with the camera (the level name is Moving [Test] if you want to see it).

... Dude, you're doing it wrong. You're not scaling them, you're moving them closer / farther away from the camera.

You need to use the scaling button, not the button you're currently using. (I forgot exactly what it is, because I haven't used the editor in ages.)

Is the Shift key not the scaling button?  The icon for it certainly implies scaling (and not distance).

every time i try to use the just released lvl editor on steam, i get this error :S

Yeah, 3rd level upload crash is annoying.
I'm a bit concerned about the chapter upload. It seems like there's no hardcap on how many chapters you can upload in a day. Hopefully the chapter spam will go away soon. If it catches on, I'll probably stick with "Enter the Unknown"

Does anyone have problems with re-uploading levels in order to fix old ones? (I.e. Bandages not working, camera problems when finishing a level). Perhaps a "My Levels" tab in devmode is in order, with the ability to modify and re-upload levels.

 When ever I try to add a level to the chapter, it crashes. No idea what to do.

I have all 8 stars in Braid, 83 (meh) bandadges in Super Meat Boy, all weapons (excluding a few, cuse thy updates!) in TF2,
finished Mass Effect 2 TWICE, OCD'd World of Goo (aside from 5 or so levels)...

On my laptop, the touch pad scroll wheel does seem to work on ordinary windows, but when I try to use it on the level editor it does not scroll through any of the objects. Does anyone know if there is a setting I can change that will fix this or if there is another way to scroll through the objects?

Jesus dude, it's icon is a MOVEMENT icon. It moves the object CLOSER or FARTHER away from the camera, thus causing it to move when your view moves.

CTRL + Mousewheel or whatever you use.
