I have been playing around with the level editor and it looks sweet!  Meat Boy

Here are a few other lil things I have spotted up to now that I haven't seen mentioned here in no particular order...

1. When you want to start over and hit 'new' it doesn't seem to delete the animal sprites that have been previously placed in the scene.

2. When you click the menu at the bottom (layer numbers, etc.) it is easy to accidentally place the current tile/prop/object in the scene somewhere behind the black border without realising.
FIX:
Maybe make the whole black menu background area at the bottom into a pickable quad (like a large button with no functions attached), so if the mouse hits any buttons or this black bg border area nothing is placed in the scene behind it.

3. When you make a tile selection and it draws the grid, it would be nice to de-select and remove the grid when you press the delete key, as the selection is no longer needed when the tiles are removed.
FIX:
inputTrigger(KeyPressedCondition(key.delete)){
 deleteSelectedTiles();
 removeSelectionGrid();
}

Keep up the good work, hope this helps!

Upon editing maggots or blood clots, the animal velocity and gravity values keep getting reset to 1 whenever you try to edit them after playing your level. But hey, at least they DO work now :)

Copying and pasting objects do no longer copy their values. This is especially annoying upon creating particle effects, which require you to constantly rewrite the hex values for colors and such when you have multiple particles, which is annoying.

I actually overwrote most of the levels in The Lime Key and I was able to save over them without issue. I checked them several times just to be sure they really were updated and they indeed were. So, this is yet another inconsistency between two users... :(

I have no issues with overwriting levels neither. I guess you're on your own with that issue, sorry about this. :/

The thought actually just hit me, is your Steam folder into the Program Files folder? If so, you may want to try running Super Meat Boy as an admin. Chances are your levels aren't saving because the game's attempting to write to that folder, yet it can't do it because you can't modify or add files there at all without admin privileges under Windows Vista/7.

To make a chapter, you have to press the "Create" button in the lower right of the screen. From there you name the chapter, select the levels order by clicking on the boxes and choose the music that will be heard.

Also, don't forget to cross your fingers and hope the editor won't crash. I can't even add any levels to the chapter at all so hopefully you'll have better luck... If you can add levels successfully, add them backwards (20-1) in order to minimize the chances of the editor crashing... again. It's a shame that the chapter creator is by far the hardest part of making the actual thing.

Bug:
So, cameras seem to become "uneditable" if you make more than 2 and left click one. It seems random as to when or if this happens, but I can assure you it has happened to me. Not sure if this was reported or not. Not a huge problem, but sometime it makes modifying camera parameters a pain. Reloading the level does not help, for the most part. It does allow you to add new cameras, as sometimes the bug does not allow you to.

You'd probably have to quit the editor and relaunch to fix it... I've had this issue a couple times in dev mode.

Here's a video of someone (not me) experiencing the chapter editor crash 2 or 3 times in a row. My experience was rather similar, I'm just more persistent so I did it like 30 times before giving up.

Bug: If you press Cntrl+Q, the game crashes. I was trying to scale a light while zooming out. Also, when I place a light and go to test the level, the light's light disappears.
