I have to admit for all we have waited for this feature, I'm a bit underwhelmed. I understand Team Meat isn't exactly a big dev team, so it is unrealistic to expect too much, but I did expect something a tad more user friendly and customizable, or at very least with the full character roster used in Devmode (No AH, MB&BAG, and perhaps most tragic, no Potato Boy). I was holding off on Devmode because I thought the UI and features for this would be significantly better. I don't want to be too harsh, but this is honest feedback.

I didn't really expect it to be better so it's not like my expectations have been deceived, but I hate that some of the features which I found really convenient in devmode have actually disappeared (remembrance of level names upon loading/saving, copy/pasted objects would retain their properties, to name a few).

If anything, I feel that the level editor is a step down from devmode. It took quite some time to master and it wasn't obvious, but if you were willing to learn it, it became very simple to use and you could do very good stuff with it. However, the level editor cannot do anything that devmode couldn't, so I can't even say it's an improvement.

Yeah, I pretty much feel the same way. When you couple those comments with no u/l management (which will result in 9 billion duplicate levels and chapters), and no saving in SMW (so you can't even know what you've played already, or how you did on a level), then no leaderboards, actual warpzones, A+s, or bandages that show that you've gotten them, and I'm rather sad about the whole thing.

I really love this game so much, which is the only reason I even have an emotional response about this in the first place. It's nothing bad on Team Meat, they're good people and have made a phenomenal product and it's worth every dollar and then some. I just want it to be as perfect a package as I imagine in my head. It's already so close, it would just be a shame to stop just short of being the best it could be. I'm very thankful for all the time and effort that's been put into the editor, SMB, and SMW, so please don't think this is intended to be a negative post. I just wanted to share my opinion with you guys since you've all become people who's opinions I care about and respect.

FYI i read as many forum posts as i can, even the dickish ones.

Its quite hard not to say, "fuck off this was a free update! we pay a large server cost for and we didnt even get paid and you repay us by bitching like little children".. but instad of continuing on like that ill "level"(haw haw) with you.

90% of the updates you ask for we cant add because they will break the game, as some of you have seen the last update caused a glitch in the main game that paused between levels (fixed in the next update) but what im trying to get at is we have a rule set in place and if we break that rule set shit falls apart and then needs to be totally rebuilt.

This is the main reason why the editor and SMW took so long to release. We REALLY DIDNT WANT TO WORK ON THIS GAME FOR ANOTER 6 MONTHS! and we didnt have to, but we did because we really liked what you guys were making in these forums and felt like you guys would understand if things were rough around the edges.

but what this boils down to is this, once we fix the major issues people are having and finalize the last features of SMW we are done. theres no reason to suggest anything or complain about anything here because honestly all its going to do it make me read the post less, and i dont want to do that.

Please be happy with what you have, we didnt charge you for it and we made it as a gift to you. when you bitch about it and make us out like we are lazy, you really come off like prissy little spoiled girls who didnt get blink 182 to play at their super sweet 16.

WE DONT WANT TO MAKE SUPER MEAT BOY FOR THE REST OF OUR LIVES! we are starting a new game soon and we want to be done... i fully appreciate your love for our game.. but come on, you will have totally forgotten about the editor in a few months anyway even if every suggestion got added and no one will give a shit about SMW next year. lets have our fun while we can and move the fuck on!

TO THE NEXT GAME I SAY!
